Sushi & Sashimi Combo
7 pc sashimi, 5 pc nigiri & 1 roll
10 pc nigiri & 1 roll
Very nice waitress but the food was not good. We ordered the $33 lobster salad and the lobster was inedible it was so rubbery. The flavor of the spicy tuna roll was good but the rice was dry, like maybe it was old? There were also a few slimy bits in the salad. Would not return.
The sushi is pretty good. Not amazing - especially for the price. Service can be slooooow which is tough if you’re trying to have an efficient one hour work lunch.
It took forever to get food out of the kitchen.
Second visit and just as happy with the sushi quality.
Great place for happy hour or a casual dinner. Friendly wait staff and tasty options from the kitchen.
The food was absolutely delicious here- I especially recommend the salmon tataki and karaage! The sushi was wonderful and the drinks are super yummy. Best of all, the service was great and our server helped my now-fiancé propose. They made the night very, very special, and I’ll absolutely be back!
Food was excellent. We had tuna tartare, sushi, and grilled fish. Ambience is good but not super luxurious. Service was fine although we were in the restaurant at 3:00 in the afternoon when it was almost empty and so there weren't many waiters about.
Stopped after watching the fireworks on the 4th of July. Celebrating 15 years of being together, my wife, daughter and I had an enjoyable time! Food was excellent and service was friendly and attentive. It was a late dinner, but didn’t feel rushed at any time. We will be back!
Food was great, location was great, and so was the service
The food was outstanding. We went with small plates that were all fantastic. I loved the table on the patio. It was quiet, which I prefer.
Enjoyed the sushi, atmosphere and the staff was nice. Drinks weren't the best, but overall looking forward to returning
I am sorry it is Not Japanese food
Noodle and rice needed to be corrected
Sorry for who pay money for such food
Not very Japanese. Not what I was expecting.
had a great time for dinner and drinks to start the night
Excellent as always. Chicken and sausage skewers were perfect, full of flavor and savory. California rolls with crabmeat were top notch. Service—can’t be beat.
definitely a great value. the food was large and excellent.
My mom and I were just having a casual dinner. I want her to explore her palette and I thought this place would be a nice starter for a picky eater. We enjoyed our meal.
Great sushi date spot in DC! Me and my date loved the setting and the food.
Outstanding izakaya. You want Japanese pub food, this is a great place.
My lunch companion got stringy and disgusting sashimi. Service was extremely slow. My rolls were poorly rolled and fell apart. Awful lunch
Absolutely amazing! The food was fantastic. California rolls along with salmon and avocado. Folllowed by two new entrees—the chicken skewers and the terrific sausage skewer. That’s a lot of excellent food.
The service was outstanding and raises the standard for all others.
The service was a little slow for how full the restaurant was, however our food arrived quickly and the staff was pleasant. We both got Ramen and though even I typically order Tonkatsu (which I ordered), my daughter’s Miso ramen was my favorite. Delicious, comfortable, and well-priced for downtown DC.
Lots of waiting, no server attention- had to go inside to get someone to take our order after waiting 15 minutes for someone to come out.
the suntory whiskey is pretty fire. Gotta try it with some ramen
The place is spacious and therefore comfortable and felt safe all throughout the COVID-19 restrictions period. Also, we’ve been going there since I was still pregnant until now our daughter is 9-month old. The spaciousness made us comfortable walking in with the baby stroller. We consider it as a baby-friendly place because we have always felt welcomed by both staff and other customers while having our daughter with all her baby’s behaviors. We also keep coming back for the good sushi, good ramen, delicious poke salad, and appetizers! Also, most recently as I returned to drinking wine, they gave me a heavy pour that made me very happy!
The front desk worker told me even full vaccinated visitors should wear a mask, but he himself didn’t wear one. Weird.
I ordered a small bear and on a few minutes they told me they didn’t have this kind and offered and alternative. It ended up being twice as large and expensive.
Cleanliness is not the best virtue of this restaurant, but food is fantastic as well as value for money.
Great food, kind hostess. Seemed to have a bit of a scheduling problem (reservation was made last minute so reasonable). Got put into a nice corner, but it was about 15 minutes before we even got water and a menu. Following that, it took sometime for our order to be taken, and even longer for our food to be delivered. Once it was brought out, it was all quite good. I imagine on a less busy night, service would be better. Overall, I’d eat here again, but I’d go at a less busy time.
My wife & I loved this place. The food was so delicious & authentic. Our server was friendly and gave us great recommendations. The Chicken & Scallion Yakitori and Tsukune (Chicken Meatballs) were amazing. I ordered them again. Their sticky rice was spot on. My wife had the Tataki Salmon. Loved it. Fun place and excellent Japanese food.
It was our first time dining there. Everything was great. Dish after dish came out and did not disappoint. We will be going back to try what we couldn’t.
Visiting Washington. Wanted some Ramen.
Didn’t realize they would charge for the hot sauce.
Overall was good
Very attentive service and a lot of variety on the menu. Everything was delicious.
Amazingly delicious food! A bit pricey but great for a special occasion.
The food was really good and the service was great.
My boyfriend and I went to Umaya for a meal before the Caps game. Nowadays, the trend seems to be QR codes on the table to bring up a menu, something I find a bit annoying. But we were able to find a number of items to share--the restaurant has some nice veg options--at a reasonable price. We got all of our food at once, which I was okay with. The king oyster mushroom skewers were delicious, but at $5 a pop seemed a bit expensive. I've also become a fan of veggie sushi and enjoyed the cucumber and shiitake rolls we shared. The veggie yakisoba was also good.
I wouldn't make a special trip to eat here, but if you're going to an event at Capital One Arena, it's a good place to get a meal beforehand.
Amazing place! Antonio is my favorite server there, and is always so nice. Also, Christian is great and very knowledgeable of different whiskeys.
I wanted Ramen for my Mother's Day meal and so my husband brought me bere and everything was just alright. My sushi wasn't correct, and the salmon looked a little dated and was not fresh at all. Then my curry ramen was really salty and just okay. The pork belly and wing appetizer was pretty good but a lot of the food was just okay. I personally won't be back nor recommend.
Pork belly is amazing. Good selection of saki. Fun place to eat with friends.
Great service great food. I will return😊
