Bellarine Peninsula's Van Loon's is a favourite amongst locals, visitors and foodies for its modern and fresh take on Australian cuisine, served in its picturesque restaurant surroundings. Indoor & alfresco seating available for reservations as well as a large garden seating area available for walk-ins. Can't find a table? Contact the cafe directly to assist.
Some of Van Loon's specialty/popular dishes include the fish and chips, VLC Big breakfast, and Buddha Bowl as well as vegetarian, plant based and Gluten free options.
Van Loon's house made scones, served with jam and cream or perhaps Vanilla slice is the perfect dessert with which to finish your meal.

Meals are usually delicious but they are expensive now. Otherwise really enjoy visiting Van Loons

Always a great place for lunch, even on Saturday with the rain bucketing down outside. Inside was pleasant at a good temperature and the service was up to it’s usual high standard

We have always loved van loons, particularly the breakfast platter just a shame the prices have gone up a fair bit and no longer feels like good value for money. But cant fault the staff at all. It’s just a shame how the cost of living is making going out with a family just incredibly expensive now. The platter used to be loaded and we could never finish it. But recently that wasn’t the case and the price has gone up about 14$

We had a lovely lunch at Van Loons Nursery. What an amazing place. Beautiful gift shop and nursery to stroll around in. We bought some lovely things enjoyed our lunch and will be back before Christmas.

I booked on line, my booking was deleted as one of the party had arrived, so they couldnt see my booking and made another table up for us before we saw our other party who was seated at my booked table. Was served ice cream with our waffles and a knife and fork, how do you eat ice cream with a fork ? My coffee was a very weak strength. Whilst sitting at table and our plates were removed, a waitress came along with plates and cutlery for a new setting , we were not ready to leave our table. And menu options from the fridge are no longer, one could have a coffee and a wrap for lunch, you’re now forced to have a large meal. I will not be coming again , the wait staff don’t know what’s happening at all, food very average, beverages average. . A shame, it used to be a great place for lunch or a coffee, pity it’s no longer.

The cafe is clean, cosy and welcoming with gorgeous plants and products. The food is delicious, fresh and always consistently made. The service is fantastic-Jane was our waitress and she provided faultless service with a smile ! Thank you Jane. We have been regulars for several years for the above reasons and we look forward to visiting again soon!

Gorgeous place for lunch or coffee and cake. We sat in the courtyard area, it was lovely. There are blankets if it’s a bit cool! Great interesting menu, we had poached eggs which were done to perfection. Gorgeous coffee and the service was spot on! I can recommend the Vanilla Slice! We will be back.
