My NY strip steak was $44.00 of the leather shoes bottom toughest meat ever and I couldn’t chew it… so overpriced and not worth the money spent. The interior lightning was so dim and couldn’t read the menu.

Since we ordered each different cocktail, it took for a while to be served. We celebrated my daughter’s birthday and I mentioned to the server, we didn’t get any recognition though other tables got something.

For the expense of the food - which is good - the tight packed ambiance and uncomfortable chairs became unbearable. We were 1 foot away on either side from other tables and couldn’t hear each other to speak.

Hello! I'm so sorry to hear you were disappointed with your experience. I assume because it was Saturday night we were unable to move you to the back where we have booths and it is much quieter?

Food was very good, cocktails were excellent. Our server was knowledgeable and helpful, but did forget to bring out the appetizer we ordered. My wife’s tofu lo mein entree was quite a bit spicier than she expected. She probably would have ordered something else had the menu indicated that the dish brought some heat. (It did say there was a chili crunch topping, but didn’t mention that noodle sauce itself would also be hot.) My hearty fisherman’s bacon was delicious, with the pickled shallots complementing the rich, salty cheese sauce perfectly, and my duck with dumplings was hearty and very satisfying, if slightly over salted. I especially enjoyed the fresh, crunchy, and flavorful mirepoix salad element that contrasted the gravy and Dumplings beautifully. Our desserts were tasty, and I enjoyed the sharp blackberry jam in my oatmeal cream pie, but the buttercream had split and the cookie was crunchier than I would have expected for an oatmeal cream pie shell. My wife’s brownie was similarly tough, with a slightly nuttier taste than one would expect. When we asked the waiter if it had been made with gluten-free flour, he said all their desserts are currently gluten-free, which explained the tougher textures and unusual flavor profiles, but was not indicated on the menu. Gluten-free options are wonderful if you need them, but we have no dietary restrictions and our ordering decisions would have been different had we known in advance. It seems slightly disingenuous hide the fact, given that we spent $30 on desserts we probably would have avoided, were all the facts available. All that said, the ambience was excellent, the food and drinks were good, and we will likely be back soon with slightly different expectations.

Barry was an exceptional waiter. At first they put us in the front room and that was extremely noisy. Then I asked to be moved to the back and they put us there as much quieter and I could hear the other people in my party. The food was good. We took the tour afterwards and the gal. I don’t remember her name did the tour she was phenomenal I would recommend this place in the tour to everyone.
