Really disappointed. Cullen skink had one piece of fish in it plus a quarter potato. The rest was just milky broth. Waited over 20 minutes for order - other people who arrived after us were served food. Ordered soup and bread. Got soup and oat cakes. Pointed this out but they had no bread left. Toastie was fine. Nothing special. Waited to get cakes to takeaway. Ignored until someone pointed out you get takeaway cakes at check out point. Just a bit lack of care of customers and food not quality.

My name is Anne and my husband, Derek and I have visited Weavers restaurant many times. Yesterday, the service was adequate even though the staff seemed very inexperienced. The menu was greatly reduced and nothing like we expected. My husband had a toasted sandwich, which he enjoyed, although we did visit to hopefully have the tempura prawns! There was nothing like previous menus, on offer, which was a great disappointment. I ordered a Caesar salad, what a mistake ! I received a bowl of lettuce with a few oily croutons, no dressing, no Parmesan shavings and warmed slightly tough chicken pieces ( £3 extra) the salad itself was £11.95. So that’s £14.95 for a bowl of lettuce, dry chicken and some croutons. I asked for some Caesar dressing, the waitress said they hadn’t any, but I could have French dressing which I accepted, I didn’t bother to ask for Parmesan shavings, as by then, I had become totally fed up! The coffees were good, but the selection of cakes, unlike previous visits, were very uninspiring. We shall not bother to visit again, what a shame as we have always enjoyed our visits.

The atmosphere was very nice a relaxing for a Sunday lunch. The food arrived promptly and we felt we were very well looked after.

Well worth finding. It’s a little off the main road but is a lovely place for a light lunch or coffee and cakes. The restaurant is spacious and well-appointed and the staff are very friendly. The selection of food was very wide and represented good value.
