Savory dishes and wine headline the experience at Wijnbar Paulus. This neighborhood wine bar lures guests with a tidy menu packed with small plate items like sausages and cheese alongside an impressive wine list. Always between 8 to 10 white wines and 8 to 10 red wines per glass. Only european wines, but something different then at home, don't forget to ask for "the little black book" with old vintages. Visit after-hours with friends and enjoy some wine while catching up on local gossip. With only a few dozen tables available, Wijnbar Paulus is like a living room, with exactly this vibe. The restaurant's interior showcases 1960s styling, with a homely living-room touch. The relaxed vibe plays well to dates. During the warmer months, the wine bar expands its dining area to an outdoor streetside terrace while guests can enjoy the view.

Great night at an outdoor table. Wonderful staff and very knowledgeable about the wines and the food they serve. Paul and staff are smart, personable, and love to talk and teach about their wine list and to help you understand the wines you want to drink. We drank three bottles of great wine all recommended by staff. Food is a nice selection of cured meats and cheeses with some special tapenade, pickled vegetables and nice breads. Will definitely visit again.

Charming evening spent with great company, lovely food, and wine, Paul is a consummate host and the vibe is quiet and relaxed—just what we needed at the end of a hectic travel day.

Paul was beyond amazing. The fact that he was there was the first step. His name is on the window and he was present, accommodating and knowledgeable and so was his team. Having to put up with 5 noisy Aussies was great. hehe Definitely can't wait to come back to learn more about the amazing wines he has on offer. Great little wine bar.
