Fantastic food and service! The outdoor dining atmosphere is lovely and we felt very comfortable under the heat lamps.

This restraint never disappoints. The value for the amount and quality of food is unbeatable.

They have taken every precaution to make this a COVID safe environment by creating a great Winter Patio, which was completely open but warm enough on 31 degree night to take your jackets off. Still providing top level food and service in the craziest of times!

It was truly wonderful! We drove 2 hours, believe it or not, to have brunch at our fave Zaytinya! We only eat out if seated outside and we were pleased on how far the tables were placed from each other...
Our waitress was AWSOME and we are so glad that we listened to her suggestions! We decided in the RoZay brunch and it was simply delicious along with the excellent flight of rosé! Needles to say that we went home with a bag full of delicious takeout!
Can’t wait to return!

I really like Zaytinya but I was freezing because the portable outside heaters were all out of propane! The tents were all set up to create a warmer, cozier atmosphere, which would be great at night IF the heaters were working to keep the heat inside, but during the daytime, they blocked the sun, keeping the warmth of the sunshine from reaching us - as it was actually warm in the sun that day! Other than that, it was nice, but I was shivering even with my coat on!

We had a great New Year’s Eve dinner there. Fantastic food.

It was very chilly and they sat us in a corner under a tent nowhere near a heater... and then served ice cream for dessert, haha. It was not what I was expecting for a New Years dinner at Zaytina :/

I've been to Zaytinya many times, but this was the first time during COVID. Their food is always excellent (Adana kebab could have been softer though), as is their cocktail menu. They have tried their best to winterize their patio, with space heaters and heat blowers. We went when the outside temperature was 36. When it was not windy, their winterization was sufficient, but when the wind picked up, nothing helped. But that's not their fault, they've done their best to cope with the indoor dining restrictions. I will go there again, even if it's to do my bit to help them weather the COVID storm and remain in business for more comfortable dining later.

The experience was amazing. The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was warm and modern. It was our first time going and I am making plans to return. The service was slow in the beginning but they were understaffed so I understood but our waitress was nice and attentive. The hostess was also helpful.

We typically love Zaytinya but we had a very poor experience. The service was terrible - not the servers fault but it seemed like they were severely understaffed. We were late to be seated (no big deal) and once we were seated it took forever to just get tap water. We eventually were able to order but no one came over to take our order again so we wrapped up early.

Probably the worst service I've ever had - it's a tough time for the restaurant industry so we are glad we still supported the restaurant!

Great food and service! the heat lamps actually worked!

Always an excellent meal with a vast variety of food-literally something for everyone & so fun to share. We had a vegan in our group and the chef was willing to make adjustments. Don’t miss the octopus and the shrimp.

Great experience and food

Arrived early for a solo reservation in bar area. Flooring shakes anytime someone walks by the table. The bartender was in charge of to-go orders as well as tables in bar area. There were a ton of to-go orders. I had 3 cocktails all of which were delicious. With the second, I ordered chicken soup which was missed at some point. After other tables sat and received their appetizers, i reminded the bartender and it promptly came and was delicious. He was apologized and removed the soup and a cocktail from my bill. Between covid, being from Chicago where there was no indoor dining at all, and flying solo for the holidays, this dinner was a small treat before things shut down again. While I enjoyed all of my selections very much, the hiccup of having to wait well over 20 minutes for soup left my experience just shy of perfect. Being in the industry I am appreciative of all that were working and no fault or blame is being placed on any one person as I understand the many ways is which things can be missed. Overall a good experience. I really enjoyed the Greek Garden and the Brandy Sidecar with cumin (cocktails)!!

Excellent food and service, as always. The weatherized patio was much more comfortable than we’d expected on a cold windy night. Plenty of heaters and a canopy overhead. Don’t miss the Adana kebab.

Members of my family have now been there several times and we just can't get enough. Everything is so delicious and creative and probably healthy too. Highly recommend.

HUGE waste of money. Service was very aloof and not attentive, but the food was worse. Not anything close to real greek/Mediterranean food. Was surprised because reviews seemed to be pretty good online. Maybe the quality went downhill after covid, but it's definitely not worth the time and money.

I love Zaytinya so much. I go there for almost every special occasion. Val is always so kind to us and the service and food are consistently good.

Chef's Holiday Menu was perfectly delicious with a wide range of specialty foods. If in DC this place has to be on your "To-Do" list. The wait staff was polite, kind, and extremely knowledgeable. If I were forced to pick something (and this is truly being nit-picky) is the view was obstructed as the shade motor was broken and shade could not be raised. Again, this is nit-picking at it's best (or worst depending on your point of view on the matter) and digging deep to find something "wrong" that's how outstanding this place is!

Open table $50 rewards card did not work. The card was applied to this reservation. And no one has followed up with me after this was not taken. A formal issue complaint was submitted.

Holiday tasting menu is fabulous.

The heater next to our table really kept us warm, and our food came out very quickly.

Gentleman at the welcome desk very rude. We arrived a few minutes early for our reservation and had asked him if a table would be available earlier outside or even at the bar. He didn’t even let me finish my sentence and just constantly kept on repeating the time of my reservation disregarding my questions and not h be bothering to answer properly as he would in a normal conversation.

Otherwise food and service excellent.

You have to do something about front desk though as it is the first impression. If it was earlier in the evening I would have decided to go elsewhere just because of his tone.

One of my favorite restaurants in DC, they need to add maybe couple of more Entrees’s but the menu they have currently is great enough

Always our favourite restaurant! They have addressed Covid issues so well that we felt safe!

Great front staff. Slow inattentive service. Forgotten drinks and dishes. Nothing like our jaleo experiences. Very disappointed and dissatisfied. We were kind, polite but they server was painfully choosing to be forgetful or unwilling. Maybe grudging on other issues going on? Side note—soda extremely flat. Ordered twice. mr. Andres should come by and visit. That should help greatly.

The food was excellent but for $160 dinner for two I had to throw out more than 50% of my meal because of abundant amounts of human hair in my food. Gross. Would not expect that for the price point and will not return.

Great outdoor socially distant dining experience!!

Excellent food, wonderful service, beautiful ambience with heated patio and lounge music. Unlimited bread basket. Smoked mushrooms, eggplant, cheese bread were excellent. Plates cleared quickly. The only downside was the dipping sauce for bread wasn't refilled. Tables spaced apart . Wonderful birthday. Will come back.

Fantastic Mediterranean food for a great price. Brussel sprouts were the best I've ever had
