We're now back open with a fresh new look inspired by the buildings rich history and showing off artistic masterpieces from Amy Murray and twelve other fresh, young talents. No trip to the historic city of Canterbury in Kent, can be complete without paying a visit to our restaurant which is lucky enough to be located in one of the oldest buildings in the city centre, spread across two floors of a Tudor town house known as Cogan's House. The fabulous gardens are open for diners all summer.

Food and service were good. Only thing that we wouldn't have again is the calzone because it was mostly pizza dough and not much in it. The location was good for a pre theatre meal.

So disappointed with Zizzi - it used to be one of my favourites but has really gone downhill. The girl who served us looked miserable and angry, as if we were inconveniencing her. We were sat at a window table, wedged in between other people. The food arrived within 5 minutes, which always makes me suspicious of how it has been made, and didn't give us enough time at all to settle in and anticipate. It arrived before our drinks (tap water), which had been forgotten by the same waitress. The salad my friend ordered looked awful - hardly any lentils and some sad lettuce leaves. We were asked if our food was okay, but after plates had been cleared, no offer at all was made for desserts, coffees, or anything else we might like. We were so disappointed as we've had a lovely time in previous years.

Went for dinner on a busy Saturday eve. Despite the fact that it was very busy, the service was fast, the ambience was good, the food was very nice and the price was very reasonable!

Service is always slow in this restaurant and they don't seem to be able to deal with any form of rush. Tables took a while to be cleared and drinks only just came out before the starters. Had to go up to the till in order to get our bill and pay as we couldn't get the attention of staff to order a dessert and get the bill so we just left without having one. Wouldn't recommend.
