I have been to Zizzi restaurants many times before and thought that this time like many others would be excellent. Having received my confirmation email I took my excited girlfriend for her very first zizzi experience. Upon arriving at the time I had booked and got specific confirmation for we were told the restaurant was closed. Now as you can imagine I was both dumbfounded and furious. If I had been told the restaurant was closing early I could have made other arrangements and would have been perfectly fine with how things transpired. Instead I turn up completely unaware booking confirmation in hand to be turned away at the door with a "sorry we're closed". I don't know how this happened but I hope it doesn't happen to anyone else.

A nice place to eat. The food was very good and I thought the menu was priced very well. I liked the open kitchen as it added to the atmosphere.

I would not recommend this venue for a Saturday night for a couple. Much more for family dining.

My boss and staff was looking for somewhere to eat after seeing The Lion King in Manchester on 18th Jan 2015 and none of us had been to ZiZi's before so we thought we'd give them a try. Food was great, had a laugh with the staff, made us feel so welcome and even one of us was fussy with what we would like and they made up something especially for him and it was spot on! Thank you guys We'll come again for sure The group from Birmingham with the big brother voiceover haha :-)

We booked here as a last resort as we could not get in anywhere else. I am so glad that we did, I have never been to a Zizzi before and once I knew it was a chain I did think it will be OK how wrong was I. The service was great, the waitress was funny and engaging (I have the name Ashleigh in my head). We shared a platter that was beautifully presented and tasted fab. The mains were again beautifully presented and really really good. We did leave room for desert and I have to say we were again not disappointed. Coffees were goos and served in great glasses, that may sound an odd thing to say but the glasses keep cold and the drink hot and no handle. Overall, it was fab and for £72 including a bottle of wine, excellent value

We were running late so decided to try the Piccadilly branch for the first time. The menu has also changed since our last visit and there are a good range of new dishes plus very reasonable set price menus are also available. We both had the salmon broccoli which was well presented and was really delicious. Service was attentive and very quick. I found the only negative is that the tables are very close to each other.

Made a group booking with 30% of mains. Was sceptical that I'd get a good deal but food and service was fantastic. I would definitely recommend

This branch has been refurbished so looks and feels really clean and modern. It was fairly busy but the one waitress managed very well and service was surprisingly quick. My pollo & prosciutto meal was very tasty and my OH was very happy with the fish stew which was a great improvement on one I had at another branch recently. A very pleasant dining experience

We booked a table at this restaurant through Toptable and received two emails in confirmation. Upon reaching the restaurant after a 20 minute walk through Manchester we found that the restaurant was closed due to flood damage. I would like to know who was responsible for confirming our booking even though the restaurant was closed, and sending us on a wild goose chase through Manchester. Obviously the restaurant knew they were not operating, so why were Toptable not aware, there is a communication problem here. The result was a spoilt evening and another 20 minute trek to find another Zizzi restaurant.
