Amazing food- great menu. Some old-time recipes with a modern twist. Can’t wait to bring my parents here when they visit!
New redo restaurant in the neighborhood. Had Opentable reservation and added one which made them eventually loose the table. Lucky to get a bar table after the wait. Had the grouper and was ok a little dry and potatoes a little cold. My friends liked their salads and drinks were good. Very nice music. Will try again and hope for a better go.
The format was excellent, food was very good at reasonable price and the entertainment was terrific. The wait staff and management were extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.
Duke's is the definition of a neighborhood gem. We've been several times, tried different entrees & have not been disappointed. Burgers, brisket, grouper, roasted rosemary chicken, lighter options that are truly delicious...and those brussels sprouts. Wow! Service can be spotty, but I chalk that up to them being relatively new. We'll definitely return.
I just moved to the area and was struggling to find a nice place open on a Sunday. I found this via open table and decided to try it. It was very nice. All four of us loved what we ate. I wish my cocktail was nicer, but, all in all, a great time by all.
Service was ok, food was bad! Sent back the ribs and ordered something else, then the chef brought out more ribs still not good. Charged us for all the food that was not eaten.
This place doesn’t have much ambiance and doesn’t really know what it wants to be. However the food is decent and priced for the area
Excellent food and service
Seats could use a cushion
Great place for a casual evening. The meatloaf and ribs are outstanding.
Elizabeth makes that place great for everyone who visits.

Food was good. Service was seriously lacking. Party of two, pretty low maintenance. Somebody who wasn’t our server got our first drinks and water because our server was busy. Downhill from there. Had to ask for water refill and another drink. Left before dessert. No manager walking around asking about anything. Might be a good idea.
Our second visit to Duke's, and it was really disappointing. I am also disappointed for I was hoping for this restaurant to be wonderful ! My husband's pecan crusted grouper was soggy and over seasoned and the side of green beans with my dinner was way undercooked and not even hot !
It is expensive for casual and not even good food.
Our food was good, but our server seemed very overwhelmed. My husband’s meal came with double of the side that he asked to be left off and the correct side, which was supposed to be brought out, never was.
Excellent experience. Will definitely be back time and time again.
We had 3 generations at dinner and all were very pleased with the menu. Food was delicious and the staff was friendly. Will definitely go back again.
Great food, ok service. Menu was sufficient, offering small bites and nice main course options. Drinks are delicious! This was our 2nd visit and it’s now part of a regular rotation.
The change from Indigo to Dukes looks good. Miss lobster burger
Our first visit was great. Our friends agreed. Plan to return. Delicious food and drinks.
Update: And to top it off, I didn’t get my Open Rable points after dining here!
Average grilled chicken Cobb salad. A little overpriced for the lunch portion. Salad dressing was just okay.
Excited to try this new restaurant even though not a fan of Indigo ( realized this is the same chef). Lunch started out great - we shared a chicken finger appetizer - some of the best we’ve ever had. But we wished we had stopped there. I ordered the salmon w/seasonal veggies. Was told that day was broccolini. There were maybe 2 there along with bland squash and peppers. Salmon had an off putting rub that was not good. Hubby’s burger ordered medium came out tartare. Said they would cook new one but cooked same one as it came back in pieces on a different kind of bun. It was soggy and not very pleasing. Talked with manager who did nothing until we asked it be taken off bill. Inconsistency and poor service is troubling.
We had a great experience at Duke's this weekend. Two couples. The food was good and priced well. Our server was knowledgable and friendly. Would definitely go again. Try the brussels sprouts appetizer!
Great food. Service a little slow. Live music is great but can only see in the bar. Suggest a few TVs so others can see the music they can hear. Also, need to be able to hear outside on patio. Could be on to something great just need a few tweaks.
Duke's is in the space previously occupied by Indigo. In fact, same owners, chef and staff as Indigo, just a change in decor and menu. They have transformed from a special occasion restaurant to a more casual style and menu. The food is good, the service remains very good and the atmosphere very pleasing. We loved indigo, and first visit to Duke's was positive. We had the Grouper entree, and the grouper sandwich. Both were delicious. We will certainly be back.
Excellent food. Sweet potato salad was awesome. Decor was cool. Service was outstanding. They truly cared about our dining experience. I will definitely be back
Great location- easy access to parking, interesting decor, amazing Brussel sprouts & fried chicken! Very engaging staff!
I really don't like the layout of the restaurant. Since the kitchen is in the middle, it feels like you are eating in a hallway wherever you are seated. I would definitely relocate the kitchen or find another space to lease. This is probably the second review I've ever written and this is really to give the owner honest feedback that I feel would improve the experience. The food selection, not great....I would probably go with a branch and barrel menu at a Marlow's. But definitely reconfigure the layout.....Thanks and Good luck.
this visit was a good place , we unfortunately open table still has the old menu online ans i had my heart set on another item before we got there. We decided to stay and it was worth it, I had a great filet and my wife had meatloaf. they were both good but the meatloaf was little bland. Great server and worth staying.
Food was good and chef was super friendly. Owner/Business Partner did not greet us and seemed grumpy when we entered. Very few vegetarian options which made it tough for half our group to choose what to eat. All in all we were excited to try the new menu and see what changes were made. We will return.
Open Table still lists the old menu which we loved. The new burger, fried chicken, home style food is nothing special. The AC wasn’t working very well and the service was mediocre even though the restaurant was half-full.
We loved Indigo! The food was fabulous! Best Duck in ATL!
Wanted to give the new "Duke's" and new "Southern" menu a try. They had no Fried or Grilled Chicken available the evening we dined there. A Southern Food place with "no Fried Chicken"? That is why we wanted to try it! Ouch! Pretty much a disaster! 1.) They can't make a Manhattan! 2) The fried Brussel Sprouts (sounds healthy) were greasy and heavy with pork belly & melted cheese! 3.) My French Fries were greasy and soggy. We sent them back. Replacement ones were superb. You have to ask how the first ones made it out of the kitchen? 4.) My Burger was unflavorful and the roll was a little stale. They cooked it the way I wanted it however. 5.) Cocktail menu was a little weird. We were told that the staff sat around one night mixing up different ingredients and voila: the cocktail menu was born! All in all not a great experience. My husband had the hot dog which he said was very good.
We decided to go out for dinner with our neighbors, and found Duke’s through OpenTable. The food and service were excellent. It did get noisy in the dining room as a result of the band in the bar area, but the music was good so not an issue. Overall, it was a nice meal for a casual environment. We’ll be back.
Food was fantastic. Only thing that kept food from being 5 Star was that 2 if the fingers in our finger steak appetizer were undercooked and tough. That was my husband’s portion but mine was delicious. Food is original with the right amount of kick and very good.
We thought we were going to Indigo and I made the reservation from their website, but Open Table did show Dukes. No explanation that Indigo was gone and what Dukes was about. When we got there we thought we would give it a try since we were told that it's the same owners, just a different concept. Okay, should be good then. Our food at Dukes was basically flavorless and nothing special at all, no WOWs at our table. I had the brisket, one had the fish and two others had the ribs. Unfortunately, the ribs were a disappointment, very greasy and soaked in a bed of collards. Even getting there early in the evening, it took a long time to get our food. Our starter that we ordered and my husband's ice tea never showed up even at the time of serving. For the cost, the serving sizes were shockingly small, especially the fish. At a nice quality restaurant, we usually leave with a take home package, not here. Our drinks were disappointing as well, for the cost, a very light pour on the liquor and the Sangria was not great. Our waiter must have been new and needed much more training. The waiter couldn't find any straws, apparently no one could find them, I had to ask him to get me one from the bar, that's sad. He couldn't even figure out how to split out the checks. We had two couples and two singles at the table. He even wanted to to take the whole value of everyone's meals together and split it by the number of us sitting at the table. You've got to be kidding. Obviously, we won't go back.
This quiet nice restaurant is getting ready to change to another name. It was very loud! So loud it was hard to even talk. They had a band in the small bar area. Ambience was ruined!!!
Food was decent but nothing special and the service was inconsistent. One app was good the other was bland. My grouper entree was good but my wife’s rack of lamb was not what you’d expect at that price point. We shared a chocolate, coconut cake with ice cream for dessert and only had one bite apiece because it was so sweet. For what you pay here you can do much better right down the road at Milton’s.
The restaurant is in a state of transition to a different concept. In fact, the signage for Indigo was removed from the outside and replaced with the restaurant’s new name. We were not told of any transition when the reservations were made. Bad form! Only half of the floor space was in use. The Indigo menu was used. As always, the chef did a great job. The food was delicious. The waiter tried to put a positive spin on the transition to the new concept. However, management has put the staff in an awkward position. The wine list was out of many selections.
Had trouble recognizing restaurant because name on door changed to Duke’s Bar & Grill or something like that. Owner is changing concept from fine dining to casual dining.
Cameron, our waiter was wonderful! We had a very comfortable booth and enjoyed our visit very much.
Amazing restaurant and bar venue. Loved the lamb! Terrific entertainment the night we were there - wonderful young sound writer/ singer - Jordan Thorne! I hear she may be playing again in a few weeks. Check out Indigo when she is there.
Great steak and delicious lamb!
The waiter, Mitch, was excellent and we’d go back just to see him!
