Xiang Cuisine, also known as Hunan Cuisine, is one of China’s eight great culinary traditions, and it has a history dating back to the Han Dynasty. Amazing vibrant flavours from Hunan province. This isn’t your standard British-style Cantonese Chinese, but something a little different. All the food is punchy and tasty, and the service is friendly and efficient. Recommended.

My wife and I visited Fiery Flavors on a Friday evening. It was our first visit and slightly outside of our usual travel radius. Happily however we loved our meal and will definitely visit again. I love the way the actual menu is laid out and constructed of lasting materials. Would the food be as classy? We have not really had much experience of Hunan cuisine but already know we like well spiced hot and fiery food. We had two hot and sour soups to start ( we know they are Sichuan not Hunan). They were very well made - delicious. We then had the 5 dim sum starter which we shared. We enjoyed some more than others. The highlight of the evening however was always going to be the main courses. Here we were determined to try Hunan cooking. My wife chose spicy Hunan Beef and I sampled the Hunan Pork. We were not disappointed. Both beautifully presented and wonderful dishes. Both full of flavour. The Beef was just amazing and the pork excellent, even down to the superb vegetables that accompanied it. The only miniscule negative for me was due to my not realising that the Tsintao Pure beer was not the same as regular Tsintao....and in my opinion nothing like as good. Nitpicking perhaps a wonderful evening with wonderful food and company!

Great menu, food served pro and of a high quality and quantity. Environment quite bright and functional, lively without being noisy. Unfussy service.

We ordered the spicy chicken with fried rice cakes, beef ho fun, pork belly with bao buns, and pork and cabbage dumplings in chili oil. We greatly enjoyed every dish but I especially liked the dumplings and ho fun. The dumpling filling was savory and flavorful, plus the chili oil is great with a slight tartness from maybe a bit of black vinegar. The spicy chicken is perfect if you are into Szechuan spicy, the mix of umami and tingly spice is really tasy and would be great with a cold beer.

Had a great experience here! The food was very good fresh, full of flavor, and served nice and hot. The staff were polite and really helpful when it came to choosing what to order, which made a big difference. There was a small mistake with one of our items, but it was sorted out immediately without any fuss, which we really appreciated. Overall, excellent service and quality. I would definitely recommend this place and will be coming back again.
