Sugo is always delicious! Aunt Lena’s Chicken is my favorite! The only negative is that their drinks (wine, cocktails, beer) are extremely over priced but the food is amazing!
The food is always delicious! They made our anniversary special. Amy (I think was her name) our waitress was one of the best servers I've ever had. Very personable, knowledgeable, attentive and sweet.
Amazing food, caring & engaged staff and great atmosphere. My new favorite restaurant in Johns Creek!
Excellent all around! Creative and delicious food; felt like I was eating Iron Chef food! Our waitress, Amy, described the food in a way that we have never experienced: she made each of us really want to order whatever dish she described!! Noise level was fine. Too many restaurants now days are incredibly loud; NOT this one. There were four of us and we had no trouble hearing each other. Definitely go here!! It's an excellent find!
Wonderful food, service, drinks, desserts, restaurant a little dark , we opened the drapes to see the menu.
Great girls night out!
Halloween Wine Tasting Dinner
Ate here for our anniversary. Always consistent - great food and service. Mr C's signature place is well worth the visit. We had bacon wrapped dates, caprese salad and Aunt Lena's chicken, all were delicious.
We made a reservation on OpenTable. In the comments box I mentioned we were coming to celebrate our daughter’s 18th birthday and also that I would be looking for a vegan option. When we arrived, there was a birthday card from the staff on the table already. Luckily it was early on a Monday night so the chef made time to come to our table just to discuss my vegan options. He made me a custom dish that was phenomenal! The four of us each got a different entree and each one was delicious. We had visits from the owner, the manager, the chef....all checking in to make sure we were enjoying everything and to wish our daughter a Happy Bday. My daughter was given a special bday cannoli plate to share for dessert and they even brought me a dish of sorbet (vegan). It was by far the best overall experience for a celebration. If I had to change one thing in Sugo, it would be the lighting. It is impossible to read the menu or take in the visual beauty of the food/plating without an iPhone flashlight even with 20/20 vision!
We always have a great meal but this time it was very memorable. Every aspect of our evening was perfect.
We had an excellent dinner and cocktails! Dinner is always amazing.
We went to Sugos for our anniversary dinner. We were treated extremely well.
Great place. Food was well prepared and quick. Crowded on a Tuesday night!
Never disappointed when visiting this family-owned restaurant!
Great service from Crystal and food was top notch as always. We’ve had nothing but great experiences any time we’ve visited this family owned restaurant.
Sugo's is our "go to" spot when we have guests we want to impress. Mr. it gets a little chaotic on Friday and Saturday nites.
Great service and food!
The Meatballs & Flatbread were delicious. My scallops were very tasty!
Thanks,
Great food. Lively dining experience
The owners were very attentive. They asked if it was a special occasion and it was our anniversary. They surprised us with 2 cannolis for dessert. The food was excellent.
Their charcuterie platter was beautiful and delicious. Our servers were attentive and professional. Our entrees were good but not great. The plates were not warm or hot. The hangar steak was cooked perfectly but the veggies and beans served with it were bland.
I love the food of the restaurant and the service is great. The only setback was that the waitress was really slow, she was very nice though.
Unusually busy night at Sugo but still a pleasant experience
Definitely one of the best restaurants in Atlanta. Amazing recipes served beautifully. Managed by owners who make your evening special.
Always good. Attentive to details. Unique, delicious food prep.
We celebrated our daughter’s 13th birthday with a group of family and friends...12 in total. The private room we sat in allowed for great conversation, the service was attentive and the food was amazing. It was a night we will all remember for years to come.
Sugo is one of our favorites! We love our server Stephen too, and all of the special events they have!
My wife and I have been coming here for years and it is always a great meal! Owners are friendly and accommodating.
Sugo is our favorite place to go to celebrate special occasions. They always recognize these experiences with a card and/or a special dessert. The wait staff is excellent and the owners are always there and make sure that everything is perfect for you.
Sugo does a great job making you feel welcome. That began with making the reservation and continued throughout the entire meal. We had the caprese salad which was very fresh and delicious. Then I had the eggplant parmigiana which I switched the zucchini for spinach and was good. It does not come with much marinara but they will happily get you more if you ask. My friend had the beef ravioli and she enjoyed it. Overall a good meal.
A great place for all occasions. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary with our kids and it was another perfect place to dine at. Service was great and food was amazing. Staff are so passionate and knowledgeable.
Delicious food and nice atmosphere. Owner was very enthusiastic about his restaurant. We took his recommendation on everything, apps and main course and did not disappoint. Can’t wait to go again for dinner.
Love Sugo’s! Celebrated a family birthday. Food was SO good. They went the extra mile to make it special. You will never regret a meal here, especially for special occasions.
Sugo is absolutely amazing. There was a bit of pressure on this meal as I'd been wanting to take my family from NY to Sugo for over a dozen years and after talking it up so much, there was a lot greater chance to disappoint than to amaze. Well, amaze it did. Even to my wife and kids who'd been there before. The appetizers, the drinks, the service and the entrees. The dishes we can get there are unlike anything we've seen on other menu's. You can really understand the hard wok and passion that goes into their creations by once you've had the dining experience (which includes Federico's overview of the dishes)
Outstanding as always - staff attentive and food excellent.
I have been going to Sugo consistently for years for every occasion or no occasion at all. As with all the CHG restaurants, the food, service, ambiance, and attention to detail and customer experience is exceptional. I’m so blessed Sugo is in my neighborhood and I can get an in-town foodie and excellent wine or craft cocktail experience even out here in the burbs!! But I’d drive to it wherever it was even if it wasn’t...
A favorite. Always great quality, knowledgeable servers, fantastic prices.
Second time was even better than our first. Dinner with another couple, started at 6:30 and left at 9:40. We enjoyed the charcuterie platter and the bacon wrapped dates with wine to start, went through salads, entrees and dessert, and of course more wine - all delicious, and never felt rushed as we enjoyed our evening. Just a delightful place!
They couldn’t have been more kinder. Excellent service from Hunter, food delicious, knowledgeable bar tender helped me find my new favorite red wine and the owners were very gracious. Sugo would be my favorite regular restaurant if I lived in the area. Having had to evacuate from Florence, Sugo was a fabulous treat. Thank you Sugo!
My only quirk was the small seating area. We were led to sit beside the bar where, what appeared to be, a group of colleagues stood around, drank beer, and talked at a pretty considerable volume. There was a separate seating area, but it seemed to have been closed off with drapes. Also, our waitress extended the courtesy of moving us to a larger table, as the one for 2 was way too small to accommodate our drinks and appetizers.
The food, on the other hand, was, overall, flavorful, but I was surprised that the spanakopita was a basic and bland as it tasted.
Our waitress Samantha was very accommodating and gracious. Her service was near immaculate. Mr. C, the owner of the establishment, came over to greet us as we dined and spoke extensively about the menu, as well as made suggestions.
Overall, the dining experience was a nice one. I would consider visiting agin if I were not forced to sit beside the bar.
Sugo has always hit the mark. This was the first time my husband had gone to Sugo because he needs Gluten free. The menu has great GF options, however the staff and the chef went out of their way to give him options and make suggestions of what was the best. He said it was the best GF pasta he has ever had and combined with the staff was great! Thank you!
