Our dinner was outstanding, and the service was great!
We were staying across the street and Piccolo was rated pretty highly on Google maps. We made reservations for 3 at 5:00 and had to cheng it to 5 people at 5:30. I couldn't make the change on Open Table so we called the restaurant directly. The person we spoke to okayed the change, but when we arrived at 5:15, the man at the podium had no record of us. They seated us anyway, which was good.
Some of the dinners were OK, but my wife's lasagna bolonaise was like cardboard and had very little sauce. One of our party ordered a steak medium...it arrived RAW. We hate to send food back, but had to. When it returned, it was VERY RARE. She ate it anyway. They comped us with 2 free desserts because of the steak which was very nice of them. The server was excellent.
Next time we're in Georgetown, we'll go across the street to Il Canale.
Great food, experience and staff. Our waiter really made us feel at home. Thanks for a great date!
We had the best time at Ristorante Piccolo last night!! Service, ambiance, food and entire staff were absolutely amazing! They made us feel like royalty! Fun, fresh, fantastic!!! The vegetable risotto (not on the menu, but they will make what they can as long as they have the ingredients) was par to none! The bucatini bolognese and penne ala vodka with chicken (also, not in the menu) also excellent and prepared to perfection! If I had to go anywhere in Georgetown this place would be it!!! The traveling violinist was very good and also added to the fun by playing Christmas music and letting us sing along. A great experience that we will remember for years to come!! We LOVED it!! Our waiter Medi, bartender George and maitre’D Frank were amazing! Just to recap, amazing food, fantastic staff and perfect atmosphere!!
Good food, cozy setting. I wish it wasn't so nosey but then most restaurants are.
Romantic setting for a special occasion !!
Great food but a tight squeeze inside and of course Georgetown!
A perfect evening in every way! Love this restaurant!
Given all the lukewarm tourist traps in the area, Ristorante Piccolo was a pleasant surprise. The food and staff were amazing. I would definitely return.
First visit to Piccolo. Very busy restaurant. So glad we had a reservation. The place was packed at 8:15. We got to our table and we were acknowledged quickly. We got cocktails and bread. The service was quick considering the packed dining rooms. Food was very good. The portions were very nice. We enjoyed our dinner and the violin music. We will stop in again when we visit. Reservations are a must on the weekends.
Was very loud until violin player started. He was wonderful.
The restaurant was very cute and cozy. The service was amazing. We were seated within minutes of arriving and it was a packed house. The ambiance was great and there was a live violinist. The food was not the best Italian food I've ever had, but the ambiance and the exceptional service were what really made the experience so great!
Great spot! Charming!
We come to Piccolo every year for our anniversary. Everything is perfect - almost. Open Table handled the reservation and flowers that I had asked for did not show up. Food and abience, however, at the restaurant are perfect.
Polite when we walked in...water and bread right away...drinks good, she liked her cocktail and my red wine was nice temp...appetizer and salad nice, entrees great. Waiter and other staff fantastic. Only problem is that we both had large coats and had nowhere to put them, kept falling on floor, that was a hassle that intruded on my ability to enjoy the experience as much as I would have liked. Coat hooks or service please...especially in the winter. I’ll go back.
Wonderful from start to finish, including the violinist playing happy birthday to our son!
I love this place! I’ve been here many time and look forward to my next time. The food is great, the atmosphere is charming and the Waite staff is always excellent.
Reservation of honored on time, but table was between three groups who were very loud. Asked for a change and after a 5 minute wait change was made to an area where the four of us could talk. Food was excellent, although the server got everyone's dish mixed up, but no big deal. Four dinners and there was nothing left on anyone's plate. Cost was great as my brother-in-law picked up the tab. :-)
We visit CA every Thanksgiving week and always enjoy a meal at Piccolo.
Staff and management very attentive to all details.
Cute table next to the fireplace on a chilly windy night. So toasty and romantic! Excellent service and the food was fantastic. Beautiful old building sets a lively mood. Great date place!
My mother’s birthday
Traditional cuisine. The fish was very good but vegetables and my ravioli’s plate were just ok. The bread was horrible. Service is ok not more, polished but heat-free service.
Excellent food, service, and ambiance! Beautiful balcony seating for summer/spring time.
This is a cozy place with efficient service. BUT the food is terrible. My salmon was cooked dry, my spinach had garlic despite my being very clear about my allergy, the salad was dismal and the bread just awful. Dessert was delicious, but that's not enough.
Restaurant was nice. Food and wine very pricey. Service was great.
I looked this restaurant up on Opentable it was a great choice. Had dinner and sat by the fireplace nice and cozy.
I brought two friends here from out of town. We wanted to have a nice dinner and catch up. However, the violin player was so loud we couldn't hear ourselves speak. He played mostly throughout our whole meal and it was very annoying. I also hated that a man came over a few times to try to sell us flowers while we were eating. However, the service and food were very good but the dining experience was not enjoyable.
Food was outstanding. Service was great. Crowded. Make reservations!
A wonderful experience. The team is so accommodating and happy to serve you. Food is first rate and a charming environment for a wonderful evening.
This restaurant in Georgetown is a hidden gem. We had a drink at the bar while waiting for the rest of our party and it was a delight, great cocktails and friendly staff. Our table upstairs was perfect and our waiter was top notch. The food is very good, and there is a nice selection. I highly recommend it.
Great traditional Italian meal. Warm, friendly, cozy atmosphere. Family friendly. The night we were there ranged from dates, family dinner to large parties. Great meal
I made the reservation thinking this was a different restaurant. We stopped in to say we may be underdressed for this restaurant. The host assured us that we were not. We stayed and had a wonderful meal. The best fried calamari, great wine, wonderful meals...so glad we stayed!!!
Our experience was nothing short of fantastic . Ambiance , service , and food was outstanding . My wife and I travel and dine in a lot of different areas and Ristorante Piccolo is by far and away the best Italian cuisine we've ever had .
The service was excellent!! We had Chafik, who identified that we weren’t happy with one of the appetizers, he went ahead and took care of it. I would highly recommend!
Anniversary...would have enjoyed choice of dessert.
A great violinist. The check in manager was a bit curt but I think he was just pretty busy. Reservation is best.
We went for a special dinner it was wonderful!!!! The food was so good. Highly recommend.
I've been going to piccolos for over 20 years. I've spent my 15th and my 18th wedding anniversary there. The place is a magnet for romance. Kudos to the staff and management for making every experience AMAZING!!!!!
The service was good. The food was average. The eggplant parmesan was a bit overcooked and the portion small for the price.
The atmosphere was top notch, we sat in front of the fireplace. There are some tables that are very private for a nice romantic dinner for two. Several staff members came to our table to check on us throughout the evening. The food and drinks were excellent as well as the homemade tiramisu.
