Con una reservación hecha, tuvimos que esperar la mesa. Nos tocó afuera, sin problema eso pero estaba la terraza llena de basuras, como sucia, colillas de cigarro, papeles. El sabor de la comida muy bien pero el servicio no tanto.

Buen lugar, tuve que regresar mi corte por qué estaba muy seco y sin sabor ( muy raro de este restaurante) inmediatamente vino El Capitan y me cambio mi corte por uno bastante mejor. El servicio excelente!

Wife was dining by herself. Worst experience ever. Not one item came out correctly. Salad after main course, wine at end of meal, steak overdone, dessert not right. Head waiter had the nerve at the end to ask for a 5 star review and when my wife would not give it, grabbed her phone out of her hands and tried to enter it himself. Hovered over her until she gave a tip. Nothing like intimidating and bullying your customers!! No apologies, no manager came out, nothing. I travel to San Antonio often for business, I will never eat here again and will tell all my business associates to do the same.

Seated us at a small wobbly table in a corner when there were only 3 other occupied tables in the dining room. Felt sorry for the server. After ordering, she had to return to the table several times to tell us they were out of appetizer-size crab cakes, scallops and brussel sprouts. And to apologize for the delay in getting our orders.

Disastrous dinner. Waitress got sick, certainly not her fault, but we sat for an hour waiting for the first course. After flagging down multiple servers, we finally got some of our meal. Restaurant was only about half full, but something seemed very off. Management needs to wake up.

Very disappointing dinner. Our server was very sneaky about up charges! When we ordered water, she only asked if we wanted sparkling or still. She never clarified the still was not tap water, nor did she offer tap as an option. Instead she gave us an open ($8) bottle of still water. I ordered a pre fixe meal which included a soup or salad, steak, side and dessert. She asked me if I wanted the shrimp or lobster with it. When I commented that I did not see that on the pre fixe, she said I had a choice of shrimp or lobster. She did not say I had the option to add one at an up charge, but said I had a choice and “which one did I Want?”. I suspected this was wrong and it was confirmed when the up charge came on her bill. When my husband called her on it, she told them they are encouraged to up sell. There is a big difference between encouraging up charges and deceivingly hiding them. On top of all the shady service, my side did not come out with the meal and actually didn’t arrive until we were finished with everything else. There was no offer to accommodate for that. Instead, without asking first, she brought us a “better” dessert than the one paired with the pre fixe menu. Unfortunately, the original dessert offered was the one we were actually interested in trying. We would have loved to talk with a manager but were in a rush to get to a concert. Will definitely not be back. There are way better steakhouses at this price point….hopefully with better, more honest service.

Food was mediocre, but service horrible. It took over 15 minutes after ordering, for my wife’s margarita to arrive, another 15 for my martini. Food service was even worse; thirty minutes for our salad and then another forty minutes before my wife’s lobster & my steak arrived. We had to track down the waiter to pay so we wouldn’t be late to the Pink concert. Didn’t even get to enjoy the cheese cake that came with my fixed price meal. Tried Ruth’s Chris again after a bad Valentines Day experience at another location. Needless to say, we won’t be back!

The scallops were overcooked due to the plate being much too hot. The fish was also overcooked for the same reason. With the price point of the restaurant I would expect you to know not to serve seafood on 500 degree plates. It was otherwise great. Our waiter was excellent!!

Service was extremely slow . Waiter forgot one of the items we ordered. My wife asked for melted butter for her lobster ; it never came . I asked for a second beer ; never came . The food was good overall, but service was very poor .

Our server was either slow, being overworked or the restaurant was short staffed. Either way, if short staffed, the manager should have stepped onto the floor to help or lead those struggling. I think further training or re-training would help the staff deal with difficult situations: rude clients, busy hours, short staffing (maybe re-organize who does what), etc. Our server was very nice and apologetic but they clearly needed help. Food was good, but not quite worth the price. The desert was the best part (cheesecake.)

My wife and I ate the bar. The bartender pretty much sucked. Was only by a few times. Was more interested in telling stories to other patrons. I had to get a refill on my wine from another bartender. Then the dude finally showed back up again and hovered over me when electronically closing out my bill. I gave him a 5% tip which in hindsight was too much. F him. For a $300 meal pretty disappointing. We wont be coming back.

Service was slow. Appetizers were good. Main course sucked. Ordered the pasta. We went ahead and added lobster and shrimp. I got presented with a fully cooked lobster tail in the shell rather than cut and stirred in the sauce as would normally be expected. My wife at least got presented with shrimp on top of hers. I didn’t expect to have to do food prep at the table. I sent it back. The sauce definitely tasted like it came out of a bag and the pasta was chewy; not even close to being done. Also ordered Brussels sprouts that came out cold. By the time we got them sent back and remade we had basically finished dinner. Talked with the chef who wanted me to know he “reflects on the mistakes of the day on his way home”. While I appreciate that fact, it’s not what I need to hear as a customer. I asked to speak to the general manager and was denied. To top the evening off, I was still charged for the lobster…All in all, a huge disappointment for the price and experience. You can get better but you can’t pay more.

Most expensive meal and worst quality we’ve had in San Antonio. I have never been to a Ruth Chris, and I had always heard great things. So this might but be a fluke. Definitely not business casual dress code. The ambiance felt very off from any other high end restaurant we had been to. None of the food was spectacular, especially for the price. They were good portion sizes but that’s about it.

We absolutely love Ruth's Chris and go wherever we are throughout the US. We never got past our wine order at the San Antonio location, as we waited for 15 min for the waiter to come back with 3 options, because they didn't have the wine I ordered. The problem I had was with the 15 min wait... We left at that point. We go to Ruth's Chris for the excellent service, great food and ambiance, but this location lacked 2 of the 3. Your experience may be different, but this waiter obviously wasn't trained properly. Come back to the table and make recommendations on alternative wines and take the other two settings off the table while you're at it!
