El estilo culinario de Cellini se basa en un menú sencillo, pero elegante, repleto de frescura y asombrosa creatividad. El restaurante comienza con una interpretación magistral de trozos de polenta de harina de maíz con abundantes setas shitake fileteadas y una ensalada de calamares con guarnición de frijoles y cebolletas, acompañados con focaccia casera caliente y rebanadas de pan crujiente de la Toscana. A continuación, se sirve pasta pansoti elástica con forma de media luna rellena de verduras frescas y crujientes ligeramente bañadas en una delicada salsa de hongos porcini. La pasta tubular única relleno del pescado y espinacas más frescos bajo un caldo de pescado sazonado basta para demostrar que cada platillo tiene su propia personalidad y unos sabores muy intensos.

Strip House Speakeasy is tucked away beside the original Strip House in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village, occupying a space rich with Prohibition-era intrigue. Set against the glamorous backdrop of the Roaring Twenties, 11 East 12th Street was once one of the many illegal speakeasies that supplied New York City with libations and liberation. Its hidden connection to the room above at 13 East 12th Street was the secret to its success. When officers arrived with a search warrant in hand, they could only enter the physical address listed, ‘13 East’…not ‘11’.
