Food is awesome, and the servers are very friendly. We love this cozy place.

Although this restaurant cancelled our Christmas Eve carry out catering order on 12/23, after previously accepting the order, we decided to eat there in person. We were made to wait for 25 minutes after our reservation time, and they offered a 2 person table jammed between 2 other tables for our party of three. The upstairs and downstairs dining areas were not being utilized. The host was very understanding when we said we weren't comfortable sitting on top of each other and so close to other tables. He offered to ask management if he could seat us at the unused areas. While he was doing that, a party of 4 with a Reservation 15 minutes after ours was seated at the next available table. We left. The gracious host found us outside to apologize and to let us know that he did try to seat us elsewhere, but the management would not let him do that. Thirty minutes, no table, and horrible treatment by the management again. Baltimore has much better restaurants with managements who care about their patrons, and I will never spend a dime at this restaurant in the future.

This is a wonderful restaurant with reasonable menu prices. My husband and I went for a date, and the wine and food was delicious! The kitchen is open and you can tell they make everything from scratch! Will definitely be visiting again!

Horrible experience. I booked an outdoor reservation. I showed up and after waiting in a crowded entryway with people not even wearing masks for FORTY FIVE minutes, I was told there is no outside. They were not honoring reservations - were just letting anyone in and seating them and ignoring the fact that some people pre-booked a spot.

There was no hostess. Worse of all, the restaurant was illegally operating at 100% capacity, putting everyone inside at risk.

I will never come back here and hope they address these issues.

they did not ask for reservation info and we waited 20 minutes to even get inside the food was amazing but they were short staffed so we had about 3 different people helping us .

V-Day dinner was absolutely delicious and the starter bread and olive oil parmesan dressing was the best! My boyfriend went to college not too far from the restaurant but said he never knew of it. We both were delighted we took a chance on eating at a new restaurant for Valentines Day! We most definitely plan to return!!

My fiancee and I went there for Valentine's Day, thinking we will be wowed by the food based on the reviews. Instead, the food was mediocre -- my fiancee's duck ravioli was bathed in olive oil, much like an episode of Kitchen Nightmares. My spaghetti carbonara was OK, quite mediocre I would say. My fiancee had made paste carbonara a few months ago and we both laughed that hers was better. The bread, salad, and the appetizers were pretty good, and salvaged the overall food experience. Portions were generous. My fiancee got an espresso martini and it was good, pretty strong. At the end, one of the servers took the card to charge it and forgot where she left it, then ran around the entire restaurant looking for it for about 7-8 minutes. Overall, this restaurant is OK, nothing to write home about.

Staff were so attentive and sweet! Food was delicious. True authentic Italian cuisine. Cannot wait to go back!

The restaurant was excellent and it was some of the best Italian food I ever had. It also had a nice, friendly ambience.

We have been Sammy's customers for several years. They give Little Italy a run for their money. In fact, they are better than most LI restaurants. We love all the restaurant people and the atmosphere. Can't wait for the Myerhoff to open so we can go back on a more regular basis. Try the Gnocchis with sage butter sauce, Wonderful! And the bartender, Paula, makes a great Negroni!

A wonderful meal out with great service and excellent food. We enjoyed our meal outside on the patio. Definitely felt safe with social distancing. We look forward to coming back soon!

We celebrated a family birthday party here on Friday, 10/02. Everything about the experience was outstanding. The service was warm and prompt but never pushy. The food was outstanding. Everyone was smiling, laughing and having a great time, including the staff. It was like having a meal at my Grandmother's house, which is a huge compliment. If you are looking for the best Italian food in town, warm service, and a memorable evening, you should skip the Little Italy tourists and dine here!

The kitchen /bar were out of a fair amount of things that we had asked for. The cocktails were sub par and not made well. Would not recommend.

Sammy's is always a favorite stomping ground in downtown Baltimore with amazing Italian food and a fun atmosphere. Our cannoli was fabulous. I was happy to support them during this crazy COVID time and their outdoor patio area in the back was perfect. They did a good job with adhering to the social distancing policies and sanitization. Food was great. It was a Monday and there was only one person doing the bar, waiting, greeter, etc. Was a bit too much for one person. But he tried really hard.

As always, a delicious meal. The restaurant was crowded quickly after a symphony performance, but the staff handled the demand effectively. Sammy's is a neighborhood favorite, and we're always happy when we make it our choice for that day.
