This was our first time at this restaurant and we will be going back soon, the food was excellent as was the service.
Sette never disappoints. Bruschetta is best anywhere!
Very nice intimate dining room and great food. It is a perfect place for a special occasion or nice date.
Great spot with excellent service and stellar food.
Bday dinner it was amazing !
My favorite spot in NJ.
Great food and great service!
This is a must visit place.
Excellent as always. Table next to us didn't read the menu "to keep conversations quiet"
Awesome Food and service as always!!
Consistently great food and service---salads, pasta and seafood are well prepared and presented
Great food in an intimate atmosphere. Impeccable service.
This our third time going here. The food is outstanding and the service impeccable! I think it’s one of the top restaurants in NJ.
Owner and Chef Alan and his team never disappoints! Best Italian restaurant in the area due to menu innovation and quality. Intimate setting; owner frequently there. Highly recommend!
Excellent food at a great price
Fabulous bruschetta! Wonderful pasta! Warm and friendly owner! A special dining experience!
Great, great....food was outstanding and wine and food service were top notch
Local byob which is nice. Wish they would just have some basics like a Caesar salad, the only salad was a kale salad. Appetizers didn’t appeal to me but the pasta with sausage and broccoli rabe is amazing
We really enjoyed it and would recommend it
Excellent food and service, highly recommend, owner very pleasant, restaurant is small and cozy but very comfortable
Great experience. Intimate setting, attentive, friendly service and great food! Great flavors and presentation, quality not just quantity.
Friendliest most accommodating staff and food is always excellent.
Amazing food. Great service. As always. Alan and team are phenomenal
Don't miss the opportunity to dine here. Excellent all around. Don't forget to bring your own wine. I always bring a red and a white to pair with my dinner choices. BYOB
When we dine at Sette it feels like we are in Italy! Authentic Italian food prepared to perfection, excellent service, and great ambience. This has quickly become one of our favorite restaurants!
As always, the food, service, atmosphere was great. It is a small, quiet treasure of a restaurant. Consistently fine dining and individualized service. Always a high recommendation to friends.
Only negative is with scheduling of reservations. We arrived at 7:50 here for a 7:45 reservation. The party preceding us at the table finished around 8 so, given the lack of waiting area inside the small restaurant, we had to wait for 15 minutes outside on the sidewalk. This would not be optimal in the rain or on a hot, muggy day/evening. Perhaps lengthening the time between reservations would mitigate this problem.
Pasta was delicious! The service exceptional. BYOB which is great for us. Can’t wait to go back.
The best authentic Italian around period ! I love everything about this places service, the atmosphere and of course the food. Enjoy!!
Truly an exceptional dinner! Met a friend for dinner to catch up and were not disappointed. It was my friend’s first time there and I know it won’t be her last. We had no business having dessert as we shared a few dishes and were full but so glad we did. Pricey but worth every penny! Exceptional service as well.
Outstanding! It was a perfect meal created by Allan for the season and the modest wine that I brought.
Exquisite food and wonderful service!
Perfection! Loaded with flavor and will cater to any of your requests. It’s obvious they’re in this business because they love what they do.
Great local BYOB. Was a little disappointed in the menu selection this time. Was surprised to see things like winter greens and more fall to winter type of appetizers and entrees. Would have liked to see more seasonal items offered like zucchini flowers? Things with fresh tomatoes etc.
Authentic Italian experience with delicious unique dishes and perfect service.
What can I say. It is always delicious.
Wonderful evening. We started out seated at a table by the window however a woman with two Irish Setter service dogs sat at table next to us. We are major dog lovers and empathetic to anyone in need of a service dog but unfortunately, the dogs smelled very bad and my husband started sneezing. The waiter was very understanding and we were seated at another table. While it was not by the window, we appreciated the ability to change tables.
They brought warm bread to the table with a nice olive oil. I did not partake but my husband was in his glory. I started out with the salad of winter greens and it was just fantastic. They easily accommodated my request to forego the almonds. I really wanted to try one of the pastas but not as my entrée. The waiter advised that they could give me a half portion to go with my entrée. I chose the pasta with broccoli rabe and the pasta was al dente as I like it and the broth was excellent. For the entrée I went with the Sea Bass. It must have been cooked in a cast iron skillet because they got a perfect char on the skis and it was cooked to perfection. It was a very generous portion of fish accompanied by spinach and two small potatoes. After the salad and pasta I only ate half of my entrée and enjoyed the leftovers the next day.
My husband had the risotto special which he said was a bit lacking in flavor but good. He had the halibut which was cooked to perfection but when compared to my Sea Bass, was not as flavorful.
The service was spot on. The only slight negative is that we brought two very expensive bottles of wine, a white and a red, and the waiter put the wrong corks in each for us to take home. I did not think it was a big deal but my husband said that is a major faux pas in the wine world. The owner, Alan, always makes his way to every table and is extremely gracious. No doubt that his attentiveness has made this one of the very best restaurants in our area. Cannot recommend highly enough.
Very pleased! Excellent food ,service, atmosphere, a bit pricey but being a BYOB helped keep the total price down. Great place for special occasions. Definitely will be back!
Food was very delicious. Portions were reasonable. Didn’t leave hungry. Liked the BYOB. Service was ordinary. Host pointed to the table from across the room and said sit there. Didn’t speak to the menu at all or make recommendations. Very expensive. Dinner for two with gratuity was $140 and I brought my own alcohol. You would be going there for the food.
