Seven Quarts Tavern
This was our first time eating here and the food specials were delicious! Our waitress was a lot of fun and experienced. Definitely plan on returning!
Really love the place. It gets very busy on holidays.
Thank you very much for the kind words. We are so happy you love our bar & restaurant!
Truly a memorable evening at Seven Quarts Tavern. At the restaurant to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We knew little except through reviews. The food was stellar, an exciting atmosphere and service on a busy Saturday night was impeccable. My wife says it was the most standout birthday dinner she can remember in a while. Would highly recommend!! Thank You staff.
Thank you so much for this outstanding review. It is so rewarding to find out that we made someone's special day.
This was our 2nd visit to 7 Quarts Tavern within the same week! We enjoyed everything so much, we couldn’t wait to go back! From our drinks to dessert, everything was excellent. Our margaritas were perfect and just hit the spot. We ordered small plates and enjoyed a variety of foods. The Mediterranean hummus platter was generous and delicious! The Chicken Lettuce Wraps are the best around, the Pulled Pork Tacos, yum! so flavorful! The Mac and Cheese is for adults, and is great plain with toasted breadcrumbs, or as a daily special with other delicious morsels added in. The Mussels were excellent, as were the Chicken Wings. The Filet Mignon tips were soft and full of flavor. Dessert was Toasted Coconut Creme Brûlée- what else can I say? Oh yeah, HappyHour was till 7 on a weekday, and many of the small plates were on the happy hour menu at a reduced price.
The atmosphere is nice, with a bar and eating area downstairs, and a dining room upstairs. Staff are very friendly and helpful. 7 Quarts Tavern is one of the best new additions to the Northport area. Food is fresh and new and full of flavor. Excellent quality! I highly recommend 7 QuartsTavern for great food and drink in a fun and friendly environment.
Thank you very much for this wonderful review! We are very happy that you had such an awesome experience and that you can't wait to come visit us. Be sure to keep up with our Facebook page, as we organize many fun events such as the next Harbor Head Beer Dinner Pairing on August 18th! Looking forward to seeing you soon!
Great pub food. Live music some nights. Very friendly staff. Excellent value!
Thank you very much Doug! We have live music every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Be sure to check out our music schedule on our facebook!
Everyone’s food was excellent. Enjoyed the mimosas for the table!
What a disappointment. We’ve been meaning to try this place for years. We finally went late on a summer evening. Although it was nearly empty, we were seated in a musty, hot corner. On a trip to the much more appealing second level to use the restroom I noticed the AC was set at 76 degrees. No wonder it was hot and buggy. Our waitress was well intentioned but seemed to know we were going to be saddened by our overly expensive, overly salty food. Deviled eggs overpowered with yellow curry powder and stinging with salt. Rubbery duck, beef tips in a gravy master soup. A sweaty creme brûlée. We eat out in the area a lot, so we know what the possibilities are for the price and location. We won’t be back.
I would like to first say that I am sorry you did not have a great experience. That said, we do not have any AC units set to 76. Our Deviled eggs have no curry powder nor do we add salt. We do not have beef tips on our menu, and our local, organic duck has never been described as rubbery. As a 95% fresh kitchen, our prices are quite low. At Seven Quarts we focus flavors, textures, and uniqueness in our food. Sometimes our food is not the right fit for every diner.
We were a little disappointed to find the menu quite different from the online menu which listed a raw bar and more seafood options . We managed to pick a mussels hotpot appetizer to share at happy hour price and a salmon and a shrimp entree at reasonable prices. The swordfish stuffed with crab meat special sounded very good but not for $42. Our waitress was very attentive and was sure to bring us each a second drink while it was still happy hour.
I apologize you found an outdated menu online. Please follow us on facebook or our own website to find our current menus.
Great brunch menu! Pre meal before 2:00 Engelman Theater show
Swordfish, meatball, crab cake and black bean burger all delicious! Cocktails exceptional! Our server, Cassie, was great - The atmosphere is charming and not too noisy.
We were presented with a surprise dessert from the owner to celebrate the birthday of a member of our party. We will definitely be back!
Had a reservation for 10am Sunday Brunch. There was only one table sitting when we arrived and we waited till after 11am to be served. Unfortunately, we found a long black hair in two of our entrees and we were turned off to say the least.
Found this gem of a restaurant in our local town. Great-exceptional food, really good service and a very quant ambiance.
All around concerns with :Service being very slow, bread was served late, staff were heard cursing during conversation at the bar, no napkin for one of us, burger was not cooked as ordered with both served as well done. Cauliflower appetizer was excellent though !
Owner was present and should have been involved and able to identify all of the above while charging $20 for a burger that was average at best. Very disappointing meal, and was here last year which was a nice meal then.
The food was delicious. My husband waited about a half hour for a cocktail from their cocktail menu that they either didn’t know how to make or were really backed up at the bar. There was no apology from management or anything done to rectify this issue. The waitress seemed to be overwhelmed and was very frazzled every time she came over to the table. It would have been an excellent experience if it wasn’t for the poor service and no acknowledgement of it.
It was Sun night of Memorial Day wknd and place was empty. We weren’t aware that they changed the menu and added much bar space and found out that owners changed and so did chef. We did not think the menu was as good and the food was sub par Probably won’t go back
I'm a little surprised by your comment as we haven't made wholesale menu changes but mostly updated for seasonality of fresh produce and adding a few locally sourced items like our Long Island Duck. Chef Justin Birtola, who is amazing, was retained in the transition which occurred about 8 months ago. We are sorry to hear you will not be returning.
Fun place. Nice selection of craft beers on tap. Stick to the small plates and share at your table.
Thank you for the review! Small plates are a great way to get multiple flavors of our menu!!
Never been here before live in town we decided to give it a try the food is really good had the duck and it was cooked and seasoned perfectly she had the short ribs and I can say the same, there a little expensive but your getting food that is definitely fresh I can’t say the same of so many restaurants unfortunately I’m big into cooking and can tell.
Thank you so much for the review. You are correct, we run over 95% fresh in our kitchen so our food cost is significantly higher than many restaurants in the area. We do our best to keep prices down and to source locally, but we are neither fast nor low cost. Thanks again for coming in, and we hope to see you back soon.
Our go to. Food is always great!
Thank you very much for the review - we are always happy to hear from our guests, especially when we do well!
Always a good menu selection. Good beer selection
Thank you very much for the review!!
The food was delicious, nice menu selection. We were seated upstairs and it was extremely noisy, making it almost impossible to have a conversation. Other than the noise level, it was an enjoyable experience.
We are so happy you enjoyed the meal. I do apologize for the noise level; we put in a noise reducing ceiling with foam and fabric, but it still gets pretty loud at peak hours with 40+ diners at once. I just can't see covering the beautiful wood floors with carpet though! We are looking into what can be put on the walls to better absorb some of the noise.
Food was excellent! Service was friendly and knowledgeable. Upstairs dining - quieter than downstairs
Some unexpected changes since the last time we were in last month. Liked the old menu better. Will try again.
Rude waitress overpriced charged me for ice will never go back this place this restaurant at one time was good don’t know what happen
Menu fit for a Foodie! Subtle herbs in each and every dish made me very happy... How did I not know about this gem! Well thank you open Table ❤️
I have to say, we have never had a bad meal or experience here. Really good food.
Tried the 7Q pasta for the first time. It was delicious!
Great food. Service a bit slow but waitress really nice.
Seven Quarts Tavern is decorated beautifully and is very inviting. The menu has so many options to choose from and the food is delicious. Great for date night, girls' night or guys' night, and family dinners.
We had a wonderful time everyone was very friendly and nice we spoke with Clark one of the owners he told us about all the changes they made and we personally know Lauren the other owner she’s always bubbly and friendly the burgers was delicious beers cold and reasonably priced we will be back and they extended the bar which makes a big difference great job guys
Loud. Slow bar service at the table. Slow kitchen service at the table.
Owner had to bounce a patron who made same observations and vocalized them aggressively 😀
Food was pretty good. Even with slow service and other patron ejection I’d give it another shot.
Place was busy they Saturday night but well managed places over come negative the items I’ve mentioned
Wonderful meal, the owners greeted us personally. Ten out of ten would go there again.
Only our second time dining here but once again fabulous! Innovative menu absolutely delicious! Great Happy Hour drink prices! Wish we lived closer!
We had a 7:30 reservation but weren't seated until almost 8:15pm (with no apology). The service was slow, but the food is good.
I was very disappointed compared to previous experiences at Seven Quarts Tavern. Almost every dish was off and service was horrible. First the food: the mussels “hot pot” came out luke warm, the warm quinoa salad had way too much vinegar in the dressing (my daughter couldn’t even finish it), the chicken was dry and drowning in sauce in the lettuce wraps (which were wilted), and the artichoke hearts, which would have been better using fresh artichokes, were encased in way too much batter (it was like eating a spoon full of corn meal - you needed to drink a full glass of water to wash it down). On a more positive note, the Mac and cheese was the bomb, as usual, and the French onion soup as well. Now the service: our waitress was very friendly and funny, but completely overwhelmed. Tasks that should have been completed by bussers and food runners were left unattended (e.g, water refills, clearing dishes), and we were required to ask for these services. Our dessert came out, but not the coffee and tea we ordered. Then, our empty dessert dishes were cleared - still no coffee or tea. Finally the coffee and tea water comes but no tea bag. One cappuccino was piping hot while the other coffees were luke warm. Still no tea bag despite assurances that it was coming right away. The waitress finally brings the tea bag and announces that to make up for the delayed beverages she is going to give us a complimentary cheesecake - about 10 minutes after we had finished dessert. She then rushes off before anyone can explain that none of us like cheesecake and frankly don’t want to prolong the experience. We would have been happier if she simply comped our coffees so we could be on our way. Very disappointed at a usually awesome joint.
Very nice, great staff. Food was excellent and cocktail menu had lots of variety. Would definitely come back for happy hour.
We actually went to Seven Quarts because of the great reviews we read about it. They did not disappoint. The food was amazing, we got the French Onion Soup, one of the best we have had, The kettle chips were loaded with cheese and bursting with flavor. The Lettuce Wraps were amazing and we shared the Manhattan Burger. It was huge and so tasty. We would definitely recommend going. The only downside of our visit was that we were seated by a window and we did feel a bit chilly. But other than that, you can’t go wrong stopping here!!
We requested a nice quiet table for 2. We got a nice table upstairs in the corner. We ended up sitting next to a table in a baby about 9month. Thankfully, he was well behaved and very cute.
The waitress I think forgot about us because many tables were seated after us and served before us. The manager offered to Comp one drink. The portions were small and food ok.
We had to rush through our meal because we had tickets to an 8pm play in town. Our reservation was for 6pm.
I think we will try some place new next time
A restaurant I have been going to over the last few years, unfortunately this time the sides on dishes were oily, hopefully just an off night. The past experiences have always been very tasty.
