Stone's Cove KitBar
Friday & Saturday: 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
Sunday: 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM
Food was amazing, service was good and atmosphere was inviting. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because I thought the seating wasn’t what I was expecting for a dinner for 2. Seating is mostly at the bar and not much in the way of traditional seating. Still really cool if you’re not looking for a romantic evening out.
Great ambiance and service. Good beer and drinks. Regretfully, the food let down the rest of the experience. Flat bread was not bad. The guacamole and chips were not good. Overly acidic and garlicky. The chips were of extremely poor bought in quality. The naked wings were supposed to be seared (we think) but were really really burnt.
What a shame. It’s a fun place and experience but the food prevents me from wanting to return. Sorry folks.
Great food! Highly recommend the meatloaf with mashed potatoes appetizer and the chicken with goat cheese and sun dried tomatoes entree.
Excellent meat chilli and incredible service.
My husband and I love this restaurant! No matter what you order, it’s all good! My only slight complaint is that if you go during peak hours, it can be packed and rather loud, but that’ll never stop me from going. This place is a diamond in the rough!
I really enjoy going to this place because of the perfect portions of food, quality drinks and the general ambiance. We have had really great service each time we have been to the restaurant.
The food was outstanding. Our server had poor communication skills and seemed bothered by a couple simple requests we made. Everyone has a bad day but this was a bot more than that. I'll defeinitely go back but will avoid sitting where that server is working.
Not our first time and that's why we go back!
Great food and super friendly service.
Good place for a couple or small group. You ste sitting aroond the kitchen seeing everything that is happening. Fun to watch it all hapoen
Everyone eats in the kitchen in this place.
We didn’t realize the open kitchen concept when we made the reservation. The food was just ok. Nothing special to run back for.
Excellent Fall menu. Fresh ingredients n friendly, quick service. Good location. Great value.
Had a great date night with my wife. The food is always great and the atmosphere is fun with the food prep right in front of you. We really enjoyed the Chicken Parmesan flatbread.
Delightful service and easy-to-choose-from menus and excellent cocktails! Loved this place :)
Neat concept. Food was excellent
They used to change their menu from time to time; now it seems to be locked in concrete, which is disappointing. The night we went, the noise level was very high, making it difficult to hear. One of the only two uni-sex bathrooms was out of order. You must wait for the single toilet for the entire restaurant.
Food was quite good. Our server was missing in action. Never asked if we needed anything else, refills, etc. When it was time to go, I had to go to the manager to pay bill. Definitely needs to find another vocation.
The food at Stone's Cove Kitbar is always so good! I had the flat iron steak and a Dirty Deeds martini. The salmon, fish tacos and shrimp and grits (my personal favorite) were also eaten by our party. All wonderful. The servers are attentive and no matter who you ask, it is taken care of.
Always great. A bit pricey but we love the food and service!
Great as usual. Not a weak item on the menu. Shrimp & Grits are one of the best.
First time experience was awesome. One of the owners was waiting on us. He was incredibly charismatic and passionate about what he puts on his menu, telling us about a few things he's going to be experimenting with on the menu in the upcoming months. All of it sounded awesome. Hands down, will be going back.
Last minute, week night, late dinner. Always wanted to try this place. Was fabulous beyond expectations. Shared a Caesar salad w/delicious homemade dressing; my husband and I also shared the salmon and shrimp and grits. Both were cooked perfectly, exactly what we were hungry for. Grits were especially good--buttery, creamy and tastefully prepared. Food was so great, we splurged on a cheesecake dessert, enticed by the server's mention of homemade strawberry sauce. Sat at the bar, good wine and beer. Servers were friendly, knowledgable, attentive, and helpful. All in all, a great casual dining experience.
Always great personalized service at kitbar Herndon. Everyone working there is awesome.
One of our favorites, but recently had a bad experience. First, had a reservation and still got stuck at one of the tables in the back NOT on the bar. This is a huge blind spot for the wait staff. Everything, from water to ordering to the check required a wait and eventually catching someone’s eye. This wouldn’t have been there if we were seated at the main bar. The staff needs to pay attention to the non-bar tables.
The noise was horrible, as the place was packed on a weekday. Easily 10-20 decibels higher than near the front door.
In general, a really bad night of service drove us out of there with no desire to return soon.
Always enjoy the friendly service and the great food. Best flatbreads around.
This place rocks! When Stone's Cove Kitbar opened I never really had a desire to go there even though it is really close to where I live. It just seemed like "not my kind of place" from the outside. What a mistake!
The food is awesome and so are the people. Everything I have tried from the menu has been excellent and I can be pretty picky. All my friends and family I have brought along agree. The best part is your server is your bartender is your cook and they are all very accomodating and personable. You cannot go wrong giving this place a try - great food in a fun and relaxed environment!
We had a great experience. Our server Al was fantastic, and it was half price wine night!! The food was tasty and satisfying. The crab lettuce wraps were my favorite.
Although I had a reservation, the only 2 places available was either right at the front entrance at the bar or a short table in the main pathway for workers to and from the back area. It was impossible to hold a conversation.
Took my wife for her birthday. A little weird sitting directly next to people you don't know, but great service and great food! We had the crab lettuce wraps as an appetizer -- just a different way to serve ceviche. My wife had the Macanac flatbread (she's a Michigander) -- it was really good! We will go again!
Very nice restaurant. The staff was very attentive and Richard (a manager) stopped by and spoke about the concept behind the restaurant. Overall, it was an excellent venue for "date night."
Meeting out of town family & decided to try something new. Was very impressed with the menu selections & service. They even made a special dish for my picky daughter. Will definitely go back!
Great food at a reasonable price. Varied menu n drinks. Scott an excellent waiter!
We visited during a happy hour. The shrimp & grits was nice as were the barbecue sliders. Would definitely recommend.
Great atmosphere. Unique layout with kitchen in center of the bar seating. Great way to be more interactive with your dining experience. Friendly staff. The crab lettuce wraps with the lime infused sugar topping was a delicious combination.
It was okay. its a giant bar, limited tables. The food wasn't bad, but it just needed something to make it excellent.
Might try the brunch.
Food was good. We have naked wings that were very tender and the Caesar salad was excellent. Sangrias were yummy.
My husband and I have been to Stone's Cove several times for dinner over the last year or so and really enjoyed it. We usually order several different items to share and like to sit at the bar where we can watch the food being prepared and chat with the servers and other diners. Based on our previous positive experiences, we decided to try their brunch yesterday for Father's Day but left feeling somewhat disappointed. There were only six choices on the menu, none of which seemed particularly appealing, and only a handful of customers which was surprising.
I ordered a mimosa and my husband had a bloody mary and both were very tasty and a bargain at only $5.00. I ordered the Americana and left about half of it and my husband ordered the spinach and salmon which he said was decent. So, we'll definitely go back at some point for dinner but will likely not return for their Sunday brunch.
Service is fantastic. Food is always good. Reasonably priced. I’m gluten-free and always able to find able options to choose from.
Breakfast entrees did not compare with the quality of the lunch entrees. Less than desirable for flavor and we had to wait on the 4th meal. Drinks were delayed, 3 different people waited on us but no one was on point with the delivery. Need to beef up the attention factor---especially since we were sitting on the rail and got passed at least 25 times without a look our way or offer to refill drinks or ask about the food preparation.
I love the shrimp and grits and that's why I came. I would not order any of the breakfast items that were delivered to our table again. Overpriced for the quality.
The food was wonderful but the restaurant was a bit noisy for my hard to hear guest. The service was great and we really enjoyed it but we'll come back when we are with a younger group.
