The Oaks Restaurant and Tavern at the Sugar Hill Inn is a romantic getaway known for culinary adventure. Chef Val Fortin provides a selection of traditional fine dining options with carefully crafted seasonal menus along with nightly amuse bouche and entree specials. With an intimate dining room, the combination of great food, wine and conversation make dining with us a unique and lovely experience. For special occasions, the coursed menu offers a well balanced symphony of flavors and leads guests through a leisurely, romantic and artistic culinary experience. Great wines and a full bar selection enhances the experience. The Sugar Hill Inn has received the Distinguished Restaurants of North America (DiRoNA) award, Best of New Hampshire 2015, Wine Spectator Award of Excellence 2009-2018, Member of the Select Registry, 2013 Yankee Magazine Editors' Choice and featured in "Everyday with Rachel Ray."

We had a lovely, delicious dinner. The dining room was warm and welcoming, the service great. The meal complimented our stay at the inn.

Excellent menu paring of local and seasonal ingredients in an elevated presentation. I’d expect this type of cuisine in a fine dinning restaurant in major city but it is rare in small out of the way places like this. Excellent wine list as well.

I was back in town and remembered how good the food was here, so I was excited to return. They had a wonderful squash soup that captured the perfect fall vibe, and the pan-seared scallops were absolutely delicious. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, great hospitality, and consistently tasty food. I was so happy to come back!

A small dining room without a lot of noise and crowds. Food was good. Portions large. The duck pate had too many pistachios on it but the glaze was subtly orange flavored. Very nice. Large tender pork chop. Butternut squash ravioli could have used more sage and fewer mushrooms but was enjoyable. Only complaint was a manhattan cocktail was weak.

The food was exceptional! It was clear that Chris and his staff's attention to detail was of utmost importance. Highly recommend to anyone in the area!
