El Tanoshii (que significa "delicioso") es la última instalación de la leyenda del sushi de Chicago Mike Ham, conocido como Sushi Mike. Se ofrece gastronomía japonesa de la granja a la mesa. El estilo culinario Omakase es distinto de cualquier otro de la ciudad, lo que permite a los chefs servir comida en varios tiempos con creaciones de sushi artísticas, makimono y salsas hechas a mano. We want to offer a more concise and affordable omakase for people to try, but one that does not lack in terms of the quality of ingredients used. Our omakase is 14 courses, with 10 pieces of dressed nigiri pieces (including off-menu varieties that are not typically available). Each piece is thoughtfully crafted to highlight the flavors and textures of the fish itself. The experience will conclude with a handroll from the chef, and miso soup.

It is such a joy having a high-end Japanese restaurant in the West Loop. Everything is great including the service and atmosphere. The catch? During eating the Omakase option the server "checks in" with you to ask "do you need more? maybe a few more pieces?" You'd think that this is included in the meal. It isn't. We got charged >$30 for a few pieces of sashimi. This bait and switch tactic ruined our an otherwise good experience.

Really enjoyed the omasake menu. Food was well presented, tasty and satisfying. Staff attentive but gave us plenty time. I’d return here.

I love this place. The food was delicious. The wait staff was so so kind and attentive. And the place was quiet in the best way - we had a group of six and we could hear each other through the entire conversation. It was so relaxing, so peaceful, so nice. I highly recommend if you are looking for a place to eat well, take your time and spill all the tea with your closest of friends. Loved it!

This could be one of the best Sushi places in the downtown area. Everything was outstanding. The service was perfect and the waiter very helpful and knowledgeable about the food! If you like scallops..wow! But they are small so order a few!
