   Had a band playing and it was great! They made arrangements to add a table to ours so we could sit a little further back from the music. Great food and fun!

   The Gathering was exceptional as expected however they didn’t have our reservation that we had requested through opentable. Fortunately they were able to accommodate us.

   Chelsea was great! We were a party of 12 and everything was amazing. We had out of state guests who enjoyed their meal. Chelsea you ROCK!

   The Gathering is always a winner when it comes to food quality and atmosphere. I must say, there was a band there that night that was pretty loud and the AC was not keeping it -- up was a bit warm. However, the food more than makes up for it.

   This was my third time to eat here but my wife's first. I just love this place. We both got the combination 2 catfish filets and 5 shrimp. She got the green beans and they cooked them perfectly for her. Then we split the chocolate pie. Hit my yum factor!!! So will be coming back here in the future.

    Server let our drinks run out every time so we had the hostess helping the inbetween times. Steak was all rare though we asked for medium. Prime rib was perfect for the other two people. Otherwise food was great and folks were friendly.

    We treated my mom to dinner here for her birthday. It was a busy (typical) Saturday night during prom season but that did not diminish the service or food quality. Our waitress was great and recommended a drink that was not on the menu but was her favorite… it was delicious! We will definitely return. (One more thing… it’s kid friendly as we brought our 3 & 8 year old) 🎂🥳

    Food was delicious and service was great! Husband ordered the special which was the 18 oz ribeye and it was cooked perfectly. I ordered the Coulotte Steak Frites and it was very good! Had a spicy kick to it. Can’t wait to visit again!

    We had a 5:30 dinner and we were seated promptly; however, no server came for ~15 minutes. We had to ask the hostess if there was a server assigned to our table. Follow-up for beverages didn’t happen until we were almost done eating.

    We had a great time at The Gathering. The meals were perfectly portioned. The selection of wine was great. Although they did not have Malbec on the menu, the Pinot Noir that I had was delicious. The steak I had was aged perfectly and the demi-glace was rich and tasty. Some of the dishes were a little salty for my palate, but the presentation was worth every bite. I just drank plenty of water after the meal.

    3 orders of shrimp and grits. All 3 were cold, grits were undercooked and not enough. 2 orders of catfish, both were hot but greasy. Restaurant is hit and miss with Inconsistent food.

    We have eaten many times at this location, mainly lunch. Gumbo was just ok, one guest got all chicken in gumbo, one guest got no meat in there’s. Rice in gumbo was cold. Shrimp was over cooked for one guest. The greens were under cooked. Mac and Cheese was cold. We arrived at 5:45, our food was on our table an hour later. The salads were good. The steak was good. The spaghetti was good.

    The Gathering was definitely more than I expected. It is a beautiful establishment with the perfect tempo for a nice quiet evening which is exactly what I wanted. The food was pricey but good. The service is average. Overall, it was a great experience. I plan to visit again soon.

    Discovered this lovely place while on vacation. The Redfish was very good, but wasn't very warm when it got to the table. Others in our party said their food wasn't very warm either. Service was quite slow and after dropping off our food the server checked on us once and never came back to see about refills on drinks.

    Our visit was outstanding. We arrived early and the table was ready. Our waiter was very helpful and knowledgeable about the food. The food was hot, perfectly prepared and tasted great. An overall good experience. We will be returning.

    The food, though outstanding, was preceded by very poor service due to being understaffed. Waiting almost 30 minutes to place an initial drink order is ridiculous given the price point of the restaurant.

    Great evening celebrating our son’s graduation from college! We were pleasantly surprised by live music. The duo was excellent and played a variety of music. The duo added to the already fun, dynamic ambiance. The meal and service were excellent too!

    We had family visiting from out of town so five of us came for dinner. I ordered the ahi tuna poke bowl and after 3 bites was not a fan. When the server came to check on the table I told her my feeling on the bowl and that I would not be finishing. She left the table without offering me another option for dinner.

    This is our second time going and this time we invited our friends out. They absolutely loved it. The food was really amazing. The staff is so friendly. We all ordered specials. Honestly this is the first time my husband and I made it thru a three course meal. The portions were spot on. Chef can cook!

    We loved our entire experience at The Gathering and we especially enjoyed our darling waitress Sarah! She was such a delight and made our experience extra pleasant. We will definitely visit The Gathering on our next trip to Jackson.

    Omg! The food was outstanding. I’ve never eaten a three course meal. My husband chose the spinach dip and pita bread for an appetizer. I chose the 8oz filet with asparagus and mash. My husband chose the braised brisket with grits and a corn pico de Gallo mix. The food was phenomenal! We decided to get dessert and I picked she peach cobbler with ice cream. I left stuffed but happy. We enjoyed it and will definitely return sooner than later with friends.
