The restaurant ambiance was lovely,,,we had a great waiter, our dinner was Sea Bass with crab on top and it was outstanding. The salads were so large that we decided nest time we will split the salad. The dessert of bread pudding and creme brolee that we enjoyed was outstanding. Suggestions I would make would be not to charge extra for use of a credit card. The is a "low end" restaurant tactic. If you need the cashj, raise your prices to cover card costs then give a discount to those who would like to pay cash. Also charging $11.00 (plus tax & tip) for a bread basket is pushing the envelope. We can easily afford to pay these charges but it gives the customer the feeling of being taken advantage of. for instance Le Yucca restaurant in Williamsburg is a similar upscale restaurant, but with class, it does not ding good customers for these little extras which give a negative impression. You have five star excellent food and service.........don't spoil it by appearing greedy.

Delicious and unique food. Relaxed environment. Server friendly and helpful with questions about the menu. We enjoyed our meal and will be going back.

On vacation and made a reservation for a Wednesday night. Worst dinner we’ve had while visiting the area. Really dated food and menu, only seasoning in each item was salt and everything was fatty/greasy. They have a whole hallway of awards and newspaper clippings, the most recent one being 2003 which is exactly how I’d sum up the place..:probably was amazing at one point, but needs some major updates. Side note, the women’s restroom was abysmal for a restaurant where guests are spending $200+ for two people. The seat was covered in residue and cracks, there was no toilet paper, the bathrooms doors/hinges are covered in dust/dirt, and the sink is curved and jammed with old food/residue.

Visited here during downtown Norfolk restaurant week. I was looking forward to trying as I had not been before. The menu was a fixed price 3-course meal. I was very underwhelmed with the value of the meal. Overall fair experience.

We had items from the Restaurant Week menu, and all of the selections were perfectly prepared and presented... delicious too.

My wife and I decided to try the Bistro as part of Norfolk Restaurant Week and I'm glad we did. There were a few items as part of the prix fix 3 course menu that were available for a slight upcharge, which was an interesting way to include options that would otherwise not be able to be included in this menu. Overall the food and drinks were very good as were the portion sizes. We took half of each of our entrees and a while fest home. My only minor gripe would be that I'd like to see more wines available by the glass. They have a rather large cellar but only a handful available by the glass. We definitely plan to return in the future.

We attended a wine-pairing dinner focused on French wines. It was excellent: the food was perfect and the wines a revelation - the pairings were particularly enlightening. And it was all at a very reasonable price. Well done!

We always have a great time when we go to Todd's. Everything from the wait staff to the food is always amazing. It is a little pricey but it is worth it!
