We got the duck special and lamb neck and it was easily some of the best food we’ve ever had, and we’ve eaten at some great places. Truly a terrific place with a wonderful value, and a fair markup on wine! We were pleasantly surprised at our final bill. 10/10 would return

Unique and amazing preparations. Always have great servers. Come hungry, the appetizer and entree portions aren’t small. Has to be one of the very best restaurants in New Orleans. Great Instagram!

As usual, outstanding. And as usual, the Meatery Board is a must. But the fish courtbouillon, the marinated crab claws, and the chicken sandwich were great too.

The cracklins, venison, and Sally Fields Forever were especially delicious. The service was great and our server was really knowledgeable. Just a little bit of a let down depending on what you ordered. Two in our party got the wagyu steak and while it was good, it was chewy and not what we expected from a place with “meatery” in it’s name and a minimum of $30 per entree.

We went on a Monday at 5pm and then again on Tuesday at 2:00pm. Monday there were a few tables, on Tuesday only one other table. We really enjoyed our experience. I'm sure when it is crowded the noise level is higher but for us it was very quiet. Every item we tried was great. The lamb was fall off the bone tender. The shrimp appetizer was really great. We loved the sausages and the pickle plate. The seafood was excellent. We drove about 8 hours to get there and plan on returning.

I loved every bite of food! Service was just fine, but they were pretty cold towards us. It may have been because it was a slow day. Prices have definitely gone up, but that’s expected with inflation for the quality that toups provides.

Food is absolutely amazing! The staff is very knowledgeable of the menu and accommodated all of our requests. The cocktail menu is so unique and all of their drinks are delicious. I am a repeat customer and recommend all of my friends here!

We made OpenTable reservations for 11am on the patio since it was the first “cooler” day of the summer. Our server Maggie promptly greeted and seated us. She let us know about a menu change as well. She gave us just enough time to take a look at the menu and returned to take our appetizer order. We had the fried chicken oysters and they were delicious. Tender morsels of chicken fried just right and tossed in a hot sauce, sprinkled with pickled celery and a little blue cheese for tang. The house made ranch with dill should be available by the bottle. Maggie’s timing throughout the service was impeccable. The citrus bourbon glazed quail with roasted summer vegetables was outstanding. It was two small and partially deboned quail along with roasted corn, beans and mild peppers. My husband who normally won’t stray from his beloved burger even agreed that I’d made the better choice this time, after he took a bite of quail. The quail was tender and well-seasoned and the roasted veggies were delicious.

Very cute place. Nice patio for good weather days. Food was excellent! Love the Squash Pickles! Loved the decor and all of the family photos. I went to high school with the owners Uncle. So happy to see what a great career he has begun for himself. Bought two cookbooks, one for myself and one as a gift!

As always a fabulous meal. Servers are knowledgable and helpful. My dining companion is on a keto diet - lots of meat on the menu! Glad she loved everything because there is so much delicious on the menu and hope to get back soon to take in more. Order cracklins and enjoy while you peruse the menu.....

The food was great, and thats the most important thing. The staff was very uninterested, almost threw the plates on the table and it looked as if they wanted us to be finished as soon as possible. We were a bit dissapointed.

The waiter wasn’t the best. He was aloof and not very interested in any of his tables, but that doesn’t really impact what is an amazing restaurant and food.

Everything was very good at the COOLinary brunch. We were greeted and seated promptly. We enjoy relaxing brunches and Toups’ pace was perfect. There were good food options and an interesting wine and cocktail list.

Lunch was outstanding as always! The Crab claws are a MUST when they are available, and the cucumber salad is DELISH! Prompt service with a great staff and that is why it is one of my "go-to" spots for business lunches.

DELICIOUS!!! Go with more than two people so you can try more dishes because the dishes have very generous portions. Marinated crab claws, fried turkey necks, fois gras, roasted squash, quail, yum yum yum yum! We loved every dish. Everything was perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, and had a fun creative twist that really makes this menu stand out. Our server was a gem and checked on us often, making great recommendations, and ensuring we we had everything we needed. Great cocktails too. This will be a must-eat restaurant in New Orleans going forward for all of our friends and family. Cheers to Toups and his team!

Hate leaving negative feedback, but this was a pretty disappointing experience for my team. The appetizers were fine- sausage and turkey neck were good. Entrees were not good. Did not eat more than one bite and the sever never asked how it was or why. We had a group of 10 and 4 other people barely touched their meals. Our server was nice but seemed new or unfamiliar with the ordering device and menu. Had high hopes for the place, but unfortunately would not recommend.

The food here was rich and delicious! My wife and I came here for our birthday month august. Iassic came out with our meat board, which was a perfect blend for tasting! The marinated crab claws and crispy turkey necks were to die for. This is a place you would have to visit a multitude of times, to start to break the surface of how awesome the food is. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. As a great good bye. Issac entertained taking photos with my wife and I. He also signed his book for us. If you come to Nola and missed eating at Toups Meatery. You would be doing yourself a massive disservice. From an x-chef and huge foodie. Two thumbs up on a great experience!!!

The food was overpriced and overcooked. We couldn’t cut through the duck it was so tough. The pork chop was huge and was $42 but over half of it was fat. The Confit chicken thighs were also over cooked. Cornbread was dry. We spent over $450 on dinner here and it was the absolute worst meal of our trip. Server was great and we tipped her well but with all the hype about this place we were highly disappointed. It just wasn’t good.

Honestly very delicious meals, cooked perfectly. The small plates were a delight, I planned this reservation specifically to try the Rillon and it did not disappoint. The chicken thigh confit was excellent and pulled off the bone beautifully with a rich delicious sauce on top. Will be going back during my next trip to New Orleans.

My overall rating was strictly based the poor food quality. Service was great and atmosphere fun. But service and atmosphere can only get you so far if the food is bad. Had the Meat Board and it had to be the single poorest execution I have ever experienced. I never give food 1 star, but it was simply put "The worst meal I have ever experienced." Fast food at 3am, food trucks on cinder blocks, street food in 3rd world countries. All were Michelin 3 star in comparison. Its not that hard to cook meat so its tender and tastes good. I expect this quality of food at a high school concession but not from the great Issac Toups. He needs to monitor the quality of his product. I will totally change my opinion if they can do some quality control. But for now 2 stars.

Our server Leslie was friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful in describing the dishes. The lump crab salad was delicious… don’t expect a crab salad instead be ready to be blown away by a mixed salad with crab, it wasn’t expected but it was absolutely fabulous

Sunday brunch at 11:30. Made reservations prior to arriving in NOLA. We were a large party of 9. Waitress was good but rarely came to table. Ran out of drinks. Service slow. It was very busy. Food took over 45 minutes. It was delicious except for small plate of fried food was cold and another didn’t come until we were done eating. Waitress said food took long because we made some changes on our order. Was hoping for better experience since it was our first time there. With lots of choices in NOLA and being our our last day there.
