We visited Toup’s on a friends recommendation. It was a perfect way to end a great day at the art museum. Warm and friendly environment with incredible food!

Toups is one of my favorite. Add the Oyster Po Boy to your list of dishes to try. Remember to order the Cracklins. They're awesome.

For a carnivore, this is the ultimate. All of the dishes we had were perfectly cooked. The double cut pork chops is a dish of legendary proportion and glazed with a mouth watering Stien’s Cane syrup grastrique. We were curious about the rillons which was pieces of pork belly slow simmered in a brown sugar sauce and allowed to caramelize, sort of like a double thick candied bacon. I did not expect the roasted gulf shrimp to come off as well as it did for such a meat centric restaurant. In short, our whole meal was excellent. A little pricy, but excellent still . .

The best, most deeply developed Cajun food I've ever had, with insanely funky explosiveness in the couvillon and other fish and shrimp dishes. Obviously the meats are out of this world. Our second visit here and it was better than the first.

A very neighborhood feel; great unique menu with items you don’t find everywhere (pigs ears, lamb neck, quail…), interesting wine list with wines other than the usual suspects. Highly recommend it.

The boudin balls were fantastic and I loved the meat board. Awesome variety of different things to try. The lamb’s neck was huge and very filling. This is off the beaten path but worth the trip. Definitely get the cracklins!

I don’t know why we waited so long. I started with the whiskey iced tea and lemon sorbet ( not a whiskey drinker but it was delicious). We started with the marinated crab claws with grilled pickled pineapple and boudin balls with a delicious sauce and pickled squash ( I love pickled everything). We also had the corn bread, so goood. Salty and sweet. We also had the dirty rice and more dirty rice underneath a beautiful double cut pork chop in a sweet cane sugar sauce. Amazing. Chef Issac was kind and even came out of the kitchen for a picture. I can’t wait to go back.

We got the duck special and lamb neck and it was easily some of the best food we’ve ever had, and we’ve eaten at some great places. Truly a terrific place with a wonderful value, and a fair markup on wine! We were pleasantly surprised at our final bill. 10/10 would return

Unique and amazing preparations. Always have great servers. Come hungry, the appetizer and entree portions aren’t small. Has to be one of the very best restaurants in New Orleans. Great Instagram!

The cracklins, venison, and Sally Fields Forever were especially delicious. The service was great and our server was really knowledgeable. Just a little bit of a let down depending on what you ordered. Two in our party got the wagyu steak and while it was good, it was chewy and not what we expected from a place with “meatery” in it’s name and a minimum of $30 per entree.

We went on a Monday at 5pm and then again on Tuesday at 2:00pm. Monday there were a few tables, on Tuesday only one other table. We really enjoyed our experience. I'm sure when it is crowded the noise level is higher but for us it was very quiet. Every item we tried was great. The lamb was fall off the bone tender. The shrimp appetizer was really great. We loved the sausages and the pickle plate. The seafood was excellent. We drove about 8 hours to get there and plan on returning.

I loved every bite of food! Service was just fine, but they were pretty cold towards us. It may have been because it was a slow day. Prices have definitely gone up, but that’s expected with inflation for the quality that toups provides.

Food is absolutely amazing! The staff is very knowledgeable of the menu and accommodated all of our requests. The cocktail menu is so unique and all of their drinks are delicious. I am a repeat customer and recommend all of my friends here!
