10/10. I’ve been coming here for over 15 years. Service is always amazing. Food is always consistent. One of my all-time favorite places to go.

We celebrated my birthday and it was amazing! The server could have come to check on us a little more frequently, but overall an amazing experience.

It was an excellent and tasty meal and experience. Our server and bus service was friendly, exceptional and helpful. Sorry they are closing soon. I hope they find a new location and reopen.

Made a reservation here to have dinner before a theatre performance. I thought 2 hours would be plenty of time to eat and leave to make it to the theatre, only a mile away, in time to be in our seats by 7:30pm. The reservation was at 5:30pm, and we arrived at 5:35pm. Parking was an absolute nightmare. We parked at least a third of a mile away. When we arrived at 5:30pm we were seated immediately and the hostess was very nice about us being late. We ordered drinks and the fondue experience which was a cheese fondue course for two, two entrees, and a dessert fondue for two. The food was very good and I want to go back for sure. The only issue we had was it took so long to get any attention from the staff. Our drinks took 15-20 minutes to arrive each time. The entrees came out at 6:50pm. So, we had to eat fast and also could not stay for dessert. They did prepare the dessert for us to go. We arrived to our theatre seats late and were lucky they let us in at like 7:35pm. Overall Pros: Delicious food, friendly staff. Overall Cons: Prices are $$$. Parking is difficult. Dining room lighting too dim (I couldn't read the menu and I'm 47 with normal vision). Some ceiling lights were flickering. Everything took too long, from the staff asking to take our order to items coming out to us. 85 minutes should be adequate to be seated, order, be served, and pay, for two guests I'll go back because it was really good and fondue places are rare, but will anticipate things will take a very long time.

Portland's Urban Fondue and Bartini to close after more than 20 years
After more than two decades in Northwest Portland, Urban Fondue and Bartini will close in February due to rising taxes, declining neighborhood conditions, and landlord tensions. Owner Mark Byrum says the decision was not taken lightly and thanks loyal customers and staff.
