We dined early (5:15) to avoid the energetic atmosphere we'd read about. Still- it's a place with all hard surfaces and nothing to absorb the sounds of a lively bar, the kitchen hub-bub, music, and people trying to converse over all of it. A little bit later and we would not have been able to hear each other speak. The food was average. The service was good.

Took advantage of restaurant week. So glad we did! Great choices on the special menu, good sized portions, very attentive service, yummy food! We’ll definitely go back, even for regular prices.

We are repeat customers to Volterra and we always enjoy it. This time I had the lamb shank and my husband had the tenderloin. Both were delish! Our waiter recommended an excellent Tuscan red wine. The restaurant was very busy and our waiter kept in good touch with us without being obtrusive. We enjoyed our meal and will come again.

The food was excellent. The service was odd. Took 15 minutes for our waiter to show up. He was sorting silverware. Then he didn’t tell us about the special that we later heard from the waiter on the next table over. It sounded good and I would have ordered it. The waiter asked for my drink order, I ordered glasses of wine for myself and my wife, and then asked if we wanted an appetizer. I ordered the Caesar salad, which was very good. My wife didn’t want any app or salad. Waiter only brought me a glass of wine, but nothing for my wife. Food was good at least.

It was our first time eating here and we will definitely be back! We were impressed with the attentiveness of the staff from our first moments of being seated. The atmosphere in the bar and dining area is really nice but not stuffy. The cocktails and food were delicious, definitely recommend their homage pastas!

This is our go to restaurant in kirkland. The food is delicious and service impeccable. Never had a bad meal —you can’t go wrong with any of the entrees.
