Buttermint Finer Dining & Cocktails is the latest restaurant from Black Shoe Hospitality open in Shorewood. We serve modern cuisine in a classic style that celebrates the specialness of a night (or brunch) out in a swanky atmosphere. Co-owner Chef Joe Muench constructed a modern menu drawing inspiration from the early 1960s, an era that launched modern restaurants as we know them today. Buttermint’s raw bar features prominently in its dining room, featuring an assortment of chilled seafood preparations, fresh-shucked oysters, and presentations of chilled meats and vegetables.Updated retro luxury is apparent in the beverage menu, which features a slate of classic cocktails, including The Original Mai Tai and The Avation, and Buttermint's Old Fashioned on tap. Buttermint’s opening appetizers feature comfortably upscale presentations of Crispy Chicken XO, Veal Sweetbreads, and Fried Calamari. Bread Service features daily selections of house-made breads, powered by Black Shoe Bakery.
