First Visit, and I really want to give 5 stars but just can't. But: for all the other restaurants I've reviewed in Reno and said "your service sucks" here's a restaurant you should emulate. Service (Justin) was awesome. Never left me hanging; but also wasn't constantly in my business either. Perfect service on a pretty busy Sunday night. Food was awesome. I had the seared scallops appetizer and it was tasty....but...$27 for 3 little bitty scallops? C'mon man. I mean, it tasted good, but not $27 good. For my main I had the pacific dorado (mahi-mahi) and again, it was really really good. I have no complaints about it. Very tasty and very well prepared. The only other negative was the dessert menu. Pretty sparse selection wise. So I passed on dessert. All in all, an excellent meal with excellent service. A bit pricey for the app, and a bit of a let-down with the dessert menu. But I'll definitely go back!

Excellent food, excellent service. Its not fancy but it is nice and very good. Has nice outdoor seating that over looks the Truckee River, downtown Reno NV.

Decent food at a decent price with decent service. Better than most in the area. Food while not overly exciting is prepared/seasoned well and served hot! Dinner was prompt as was the initial greet. Will be back next time I’m visiting.

Birthday celebration for me (59 yrs) with my 2 adult children, whom I had not seen in 3-5 months. I flew in to Reno. Our server, Danny, was attentive, with a great smile, sweet & humble. He took ownership for forgetting to let the kitchen know I didn’t want cranberries in my salad. He comped the salad & gave my son a neat whiskey. (My daughter & I were sharing a bottle of champagne.). The portion sizes were larger than any of us could finish. Danny offered me a complimentary dessert for my birthday, but we were too full. I had the Chipolte Plum Salmon, which cane with delicious veggies & rice. My son had the Elk dinner, which he enjoyed. It is gamey tasting, just like wild elk. My daughter had mushroom ravioli pasta dish, with a creamy white sauce- not too heavy. It was DELICIOUS!!!

Went on a date with my girlfriend and were greeted, sat, and helped right away. This post has nothing to do with the service we received, the service staff was great! The cocktails were good, however, the food was horrible! My girlfriend ordered the Plum Chipotle Salmon ($34) and I the NY Strip ($42) with sautéed mushrooms ($6). The salmon was rubbery and did not flake, at all, when touched with a fork. It was served over arugula and spinach cous-cous w/ seasonal squash medley both of which were undercooked and completely cold. Unfortunately, the same goes for my NY Strip. The steak, although cooked perfectly medium-rare, had zero flavor. It was served over root vegetable hash & honey ginger roasted carrots which were also undercooked and cold! I’m talking almost raw. If we weren’t starving we would have left. We paid $180 ($150+$30 tip) for what basically equates to food you’d order from Chili’s. No offense to Chili’s but at least they know who they are and the food comes out cooked and hot. Don’t advertise yourself or charge those kind of prices if you aren’t going to deliver.

The service was outstanding. The waiter knew to ask my son when he would like to have his appetizer delivered because he also ordered a salad. The food was excellent and the portions were large. We also had the flourless chocolate cake for dessert. It was very rich and and chocolatey.

This is our third time dining here. Each time we ask ourselves, “why didn’t we start eating here sooner?” The food is always great and the service is excellent. Great date night spot for sure!

The waiter and support staff were friendly and helpful. The people standing at the door were efficient but unfriendly. We ordered the caprese appetizer, gnocchi, seafood risotto, crème brûlée, and coffee cake. Overall the food was good but could use some improvement. The gnocchi is well done with a nice flavor balance between the butter and sage with the pancetta. The Crème Brûlée was a nice custard texture with a crisp caramelized sugar top and strawberries to meld the flavors together. For a cocktail, I had the Classic Raz which was a nice balance of tart and sweet. However, the seafood risotto was soupy instead of creamy with little risotto and an overtaking of peas. The coffee cake was dry and the caramel drizzle tasted more like the liquor used to make it than caramel. Overall the experience was nice and it is somewhere that I will eat again but the risotto and the coffee cake will not be on the agenda of items to order.

Pioneer center event night and this place is conveniently located right across the street. So ease of access was ideal. The place was busy and tables were full. It is best to have a reservation.

To be fair, they were very busy because it was Broadway night so naturally it was busier than usual however, I was disappoint in the food we received. We both ordered their special for the night that was prime rib. I told our server 3 times how I wanted it cooked but she seemed a million miles away. When the food came, it was medium and dry. I didn’t eat much of it. I also ordered the salad but got the soup instead, again I don’t feel our waitress was listening. Normally we have a good experience here but unfortunately not this time. She did give us a discount.

My daughter and I went before see a show at the Pioneer Center. We go there often for celebrations. The experience is always awesome. I had the lemon shrimp risotto and it was the best risotto I have had in years. Our server was Dan and he was appropriately attentive and very pleasant. We finished with the crème brûlée. Ooh La La. Highly recommend the weld River Grille. Reservations are also highly recommended.

My girlfriend and I went for Valentine’s Day weekend. The service was amazing. Food was quick and tasted great. Was a bit pricy for what we got but still felt overall satisfied

I had the mahi mahi. My wife had the beef rib. The chef they have here is outstanding. The food was delicious, with well-prepared marinade, garnishment and very appetizingly arranged on the plate. We had a reservation, but they seated us by the bar up against the wall in a cramped area. Would have preferred a more private, quiet table, but this place is an open area and noisy so that might not exist, but is more my personal preference. Their drinks menu lacks traditional cocktails like an Old Fashioned, or a Manhattan or a unique drink that is awesome called the "Rusty Hammer" (Akashi Japanese Whiskey, Drambuie, honey, Angostura bitters, big rock, topped with bubbly). A scratch Laura-M margarita would be a good add: 100% blue agave tequila, fresh squeezed lime juice, half shot of Cointreau, half shot of Grand Marnier and a tablespoon of organic powdered cane sugar mixed, shaken not stirred. Would like to see a single glass Zinfandel wine list that includes a variety of Sonoma County Dry Creek zinfandels preferably the maple family grapes, Ferrari Carano, or ANY of the "Carol Shelton" varieties.

This was a great restaurant for us. We had just a 3 block walk along the river walk from our hotel to the restaurant. We are not gamblers, & were happy to find a normal restaurant where we didn't have to walk thru the casino to have a meal. Food & service were excellent!!!

I always take my out-of-town guests to Wild River because of the proximity to the River Walk and the great menu and atmosphere. I highly recommend Wild River Grille.

Food could be a lot better especially for the price dry peace of filet mignon steak with a very greasy patty potato thing and dirty cups..but nice and friendly waiter thanks 🙏

Took family to WRG - went for the happy hour. One of the best happy hours around! 5 of us ate and drank and it was only $130!!!! And we left satisfied! Truffle fries are so extra yummy here!!!

Have eaten their several times over the years. Always enjoy the experience. This time was pre-theater dinner. Ordered Short Ribs and Elk Medallions. Warned waitress that Elk can be dry. Wanted medium and she said it should be OK. Turned out to be dry as expected. However, she immediately offered to replace with medium rare which came out just right, only had a substantial amount of au jus on the plate unlike the first portion. Don't know if gravy was missing from first dish or extra gravy was added to second dish to make up for dryness. Short Ribs were fine. Overall liked the experience. River Room was crowded, but not noisy at all.
