Italian restaurant chain Zizzi opened the doors of its very first branch in London's Chiswick in 1999. Now there are over 100 branches, all decorated in an appealing contemporary style. Wood-fired ovens, open kitchens and modern interior design with locally influenced art features make for a vibrant atmosphere. As for the food, they serve up a variety of traditional Italian dishes including all the usual suspects: salads, antipasti, pasta, pizza, calzone, risotto as well as fish and meat mains and desserts. What Zizzi really pride themselves on is sourcing good quality ingredients; salads are dressed with white balsamic vinegar from Modena, for example, and offer Goddess Olives, a variety known for their firm flesh and nutty flavour. The modestly priced wine list is dominated by Italian wines, starting at £13.45 for a Montepulciano d'Abruzzo. Marlow's Zizzi is one of the loveliest – the restaurant is based in a listed ex-brewery, and has large open spaces and vaulted ceilings. There's

Nice place with friendly staff but a bit soulless. The food was average but served promptly. The service could have been a bit slicker but it was an exceptionally busy day. I think Marlow has better options to offer but ok standard for a high street chain.

Food was mediocre - had venison tagliatelle which was not hot and slightly under cooked. Service was good but fairly empty so not much ambience. Ok but nothing special and not value for money.

You know what you are getting when you dine at Zizzi - so no surprises. Have eaten here several times - it is always busy so must be a good sign. Just wish they had a better wine list!

Very pleasant Zizzi in centre of Marlow. Usual menu - although the wine list is not as good as some others.

Lively atmosphere, springtime menu (tricolore salad was delicious), my pasta dish was very spicy and I had to send it back and order something else, but the waitress arranged this very smoothly and didn't charge me for the replacement meal. I will return.

Have been here before - but tonight the service not quite as good as before. They had run out of calamari which we both wanted as our starter. Also the wine list here is not as good as other Zizzis. Not sure why that is - thought they would all be similar. Had forgotton to bring my code for 25% off which was a bit annoying!

I've been going to Zizzi Marlow for years. It's always good and has a great atmosphere - the Montepulciano wine was esecially nice this time around!
