We have had the pleasure of eating at The Copper Grouse many times during our visits to Manchester and staying at The Kimpton Taconic. The restaurant is warm and welcoming with excellent food sourced from local farms and vendors. During our last stay, we had dinner one night and breakfast two mornings. The duck small plate, recommended by our server Molly was delicious. At breakfast, a real standout was the scrambled eggs in The Deuces plate. The chef-made ketchup is also an example of the care taken in all aspects of the food. I must also comment on the excellent service at The Copper Grouse. From the servers to the manager who can be seen moving throughout the restaurant and managing various aspects of the business, everyone is professional and friendly. One morning, we witnessed a customer complaining about the French toast being inedible (it was not, the recipe is an elevated take on the dish and looks a little different from the usual breakfast staple). The server took everything in stride and was most accommodating. At the same time, another table had a mother call in on the nanny's phone to place an order for her children's meals. It was awkward but the server handled it with patience and skill. This is the kind of service that makes a restaurant truly shine.

We sat by the fireplace at the front of the restaurant by the live music - such a great spot! Ordered Brussels sprouts, scallops, mac and cheese, mushroom risotto and the NY strip — everything was delicious and the two mocktails we had were so good! Jonathan was our server and he was wonderful, super nice, efficient, and helpful.

Very good meal and excellent service provided by Jonathan, I had the crab cake , which was delicious with a side salad snd my husband had the mushroom risotto, which was quite tasty. A good choice in the heart of Manchester.

We had the beet salad, halibut, and double pork chop, and tiramisu. All delicious! A bit on the expensive side. Service was excellent.

Drink selection was great - beet salad was good, mussels were OK. Risotto had small portions but was delicious. Sever Jonathan was awesome.

Overall a really nice experience, our server Jonathan was great, a real professional, he knew the menu inside and out and guided us through to the perfect selection for us, the steak was cooked perfectly the béarnaise sauce was some of the best I’ve ever had the cocktails were well balanced, we will be back again.
