Welcome to Claret Club, a wine bar & restaurant situated next to Hyde Park, the CBD and Oxford Street.In our restaurant upstairs we serve a full a la carte menu where reservations are recommended, think relaxed European dishes like our signature seasonal risotto, or roast chicken with jus and crushed peas, all prepared by chef Andy Buchanan and served alongside a considered wine collection in a moody, buzzing dining room.Whilst the restaurant hums upstairs, our wine bar downstairs is open for walk-ins only, where you'll find snacks and share plates (with a glass of wine in hand, naturally) with tables spilling out onto bustling Stanley Street.If there's no availability for when you'd like to dine, you’re welcome to contact reservations@claretclub.com.au or give as call and we’ll happily let you know if a table opens up. Established in 2017 by Executive Chef, Thomas Cauquil and Brewery Director, Vincent De Soyres, Frenchies Bistro & Brewery specialises in creating food and drinks for friends, all in a relaxed, casual, and unique setting, where customers have the option to dine surrounded by brewing tanks.Leaning on fresh, local, seasonal produce, the duo create all of their products in-house, from smoked and cured meats and hand rolled pastas, to Frenchies' award-winning beers and spritzes.Thomas and Vince first met at Albert de Mun Hotel and Catering School in Paris in 2005. From there, Thomas went on to work at Michelin star restaurants including Le Violon d’Ingres* in Paris and El Chaflán in Madrid, meanwhile Vince set his sights on Australia, and moved from Ninkasi Brewery in Lyon to the Little Brewing Co. in Port Macquarie in 2010, followed by the Flat Rock Brew Café. Thomas joined Vince in Australia in 2013, and they transformed their dream into a reality with the opening of Frenchies.

    Amazing food and service. The dishes are really well constructed and flavours are amazing. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely return.

    We had their $68pp set menu, and everything was delicious! Great value for money. My absolute favourite is still their crème brûlée — just as amazing as I remember from a few years ago. Easily one of the best in Sydney!

    Our second time back to the Club. We had interstate guests so delighted for them to sample the excellent food and a great wine list. Will be back again
