    I was dining with friends visiting from abroad and the meal at The Old Stocks was, by far, the best we ate in Stow-on-the-Wold. I thoroughly enjoyed gazpacho which was imaginatively served and a beautifully cooked flat iron steak. The complementary (warm) bread and butter were delicious. Service was impeccable, with additional requests being accommodated graciously. We were a party of five and were given a simply delightful table giving us privacy and a lovely view of the Inn's pretty garden.

    We had a lovely meal at the Stag. It was a lovely warm day and there is ample outdoor seating. The menu had a good variety of food and the portions were generous. The crab beignets were a highlight and the steak cooked excellently. Staff were friendly and attentive.
