El 1er restaurante Oven está ubicado en pleno centro de Lincoln desde 1988 y está gestionado por sus propietarios, una familia de chefs que se han dedicado a crear gastronomía india desde hace más de 27 años. Los restaurantes Oven se especializan en comida del norte de la India, famosa por sus intensos colores, variedad de sabores y un estilo de cocina único en horno de barro, llamado Tandoor. El pollo, los camarones y el cordero se marinan durante horas en una mezcla de yogurt y especias, y se colocan en las brochetas, mientras los chefs preparan a mano diversos panes a diario. Después, las brochetas y los panes se colocan en el tandoor sobre una llama abierta, donde los panes se cocinan a la perfección y los sabores quedan sellados para garantizar la ternura y la calidad de la carne. The Oven Restaurants specialize in Northern Indian Cuisine which is known for its rich colors, flavor profiles and a unique style of cooking in a clay oven, called the Tandoor. Chicken, shrimp and lamb marinate for several hours in a yogurt and spice mixture and placed on skewers while various breads are being hand made by our chefs fresh each day. The skewers and breads are then placed in the tandoor over an open flame where breads are cooked to perfection and the rich flavors are sealed in to ensure tenderness and quality of the meat. Over the last several years, the Oven Restaurants has expanded to two other locations and added space to the lower level of the Haymarket location. Whether you enjoy the historic Haymarket atmosphere and relaxed vibe of the Cellar, the beautiful sunsets and outdoor patio of the Oven East, or you’re in Omaha for the night to try Himalayas, there are many ways to sample the cuisine of India!

    When making our reservation, I included we would need one wheelchair accessible space. Not only was our table ready for us when we arrived, a chair had already been removed from the table so everything was ready for our party to be seated. So super impressed with that level of preparation! Plus, the food and service were stellar, as always!

    We had a lovely waitress and food was exceptional. The my issue was a single bartender that was clearly out of her element. I could see her looking up cocktail recipes that had been ordered. She needed a coach. It took die k waaay to long to arrive. We still love the Oven!

    We enjoyed a very nice dinner of wonderful Indian food. Our server was attentive. The dinner entrees were large enough to share and prices were reasonable. We were not rushed and enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant.
