Coastal Mediterranean grill and bar, with an emphasis on charcoal and wood cooking. It's named for a Catalan dish called Escalivada (a medley of fire roasted vegetables). 2-time James Beard Nominated Best Chef Ben Poremba aims to create a cozy space with warm and eclectic interior that is inspired by the French and Italian Riveras. The food is what they call "The Cuisine of the Sun": rustic, fresh, olive oil-drenched, simply prepared, and deeply flavored.     Love the vibe (both inside and outside) at Esca Food is unique & delicious- smaller plates -order several things and share. Caesar , zucchini w pine nuts, beet salad , flank steak all amazing. Great service too!

    We made reservations last night for the Casa x Vicia collaboration. It was phenomenal to say the least. Every dish we ordered (or what Juan recommended we try) was delicious. True works of art, WOW. Just blown away. To make the night even better, Tara stopped by our table to say hello. St. Louis is so lucky to have such genuine talent. Thanks to the Casa team and Michael and Tara Gallina! A night we'll never forget.

    The food was really remarkably good. The spicy marinara was beyond excellent, the grouper and shrimp fresh and large. The appetizers were traditional and very well presented. The desert was exquisite.
