Easy to find and really huge car park. Lots of different dining areas inside and outside. We took our dog so were in bar area. It wasn't over busy inside in spite of a full car park. Food was top notch as was the service.

Lovely location, easily accessible from the main road. Delicious food and attentive service. Well worth a visit!

The Rope and Anchor is easily missed sitting just behind Poole Quay. We have always loved their Sunday lunches but on this occasion needed a nice cool place to have lunch in the heatwave. We were not disappointed. Even on a midweek lunch ordering a Malaysian curry, we had to wait, but our purpose was a good catchup gossip so the wait was not a problem. The wait was because we were presented with freshly pan fried chicken, in a curry sauce with the most amazing coriander rice. We added a salad and overall it was a superb lunch. I like my curry slightly hot and the waitress obliged with chilli flakes and chilli sauce . We loved it and will be back mid week and for Sunday Lunch. It has a traditional pub atmosphere, lots of wooden tables and when you have good freshly cooked food and good wines and beer, it's a hidden gem.
