The Ferry Inn is a serendipitous country public house with welcoming staff, character rooms, candlelight, open fires, real ales, popular foods and fantastic sunsets. A 17th Century former smugglers haunt-- this is a pretty little pub in a lovely marshland setting with tables and benches on the front terrace and in the back alongside the riverbank. Inside it's very easygoing and chatty. The main bar has hop-draped painted beams, a green dado, and stools against the bar where they serve a beer called Oxney Ale specially brewed for the pub by Westerham Brewery. To the right is a cosy eating area with wheelback chairs-- ideal for a banquette with friends around a few long tables.

    A great ambiance outside. The waiters were very informative and professional. I asked if a dessert could be modified as I don’t like cream. They made it with ice cream instead and it was one of the best desserts I’d tasted in a long time!

    Great beachside location, tables well/separated, charming staff and great food - everything we ate was delicious. Particularly recommend the cod cheeks in batter with fries - the yummiest fish and chips I have ever had.

    We had a fantastic company lunch at Rocksalt. We arrived on time to a lovely window table overlooking the harbour. The weather was perfect, the tide was in, and the turquoise sea made for a beautiful, relaxing view. The food was excellent from the starters through to the mains, and the service was friendly and efficient. It's certainly not cheap, but the quality, setting and overall experience made it well worth it. We'd happily return.

    FAMILY DINNER AT THE HARBOUR INN TUESDAY EVENING. ORDERED THE PLATTERS. FOOD WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! HAD TO WAIT A BIT FOR IT BUT WELL WORTH IT! WAS EXTREMELY BUSY FOR A TUESDAY WHICH SAYS IT ALL!
