Inspired by the success of his first Connecticut restaurant, Molto, creator Daniel Camporeale brought MATTO (Italian for "crazy") to Shelton as a sexy, trendy, and contemporary Italian restaurant and bar. The cuisine is designed around the idea of sharing, featuring flavorful tapas and square artisan pizzas made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients like Liuzzi mozzarella, alongside delicious craft cocktails. The atmosphere is chic and energetic, defined by floor-to-ceiling Italian glass tile, sleek tufted leather booths, a stunning 7-foot glass chandelier, and deep house music. Guests can also enjoy the 44-foot Carrera marble bar or reserve the 12-foot communal walnut table with gold throne chairs for semi-private celebrations.
