La Chicca is a Tuscan restaurant in Florence's Sant'Ambrogio neighbourhood, one minute from the market and ten from the Duomo. On the menu: bistecca alla fiorentina, truffle and fish from the Tuscan coast. We make our pasta and schiacciata in-house every day, and the most requested dish is tagliolino with butter and truffle. Off-menu dishes change daily. The kitchen is open to the room, and the dining room is full of paintings, books and a piano.About 80% of the menu is naturally gluten-free and pasta can be swapped; there is always a vegetarian option. Children under 9 eat free and dogs are welcome. Open every day for lunch and dinner.For something more: the Blind Tasting, five courses chosen by the chef; the cooking class with a trip to the market; the wine tasting with our sommelier.We never wanted customers. We wanted guests.
