My mother never writes her recipes down. Her name is Iran, and this is her kitchen, carried from Tehran to downtown White Plains. I am Reza Parhizkaran, executive chef and owner, and I cook her recipes here. A MICHELIN Bib Gourmand recipient (2020, 2021, 2022) with a "Very Good" rating from The New York Times (2016), Shiraz Kitchen & Wine Bar centers on composed spreads and dips, shareable small plates, saffron rice, charcoal-grilled kababs, and slow-simmered stews: layered, aromatic, quietly spiced. Warm bread comes with the dips. The Wine Spectator Award of Excellence list (2024 and 2026) runs 235+ small-production bottles from family vineyards worldwide, curated with pairing in mind.
