Since our first shop has been established 10 years ago we came a long way. We upgraded the existing concept and combined a new menu to launch Katsumura. Inspired by the roadside izakaya in Tokyo, Katsumura is known to be a comfortable and lively pub-style atmosphere parallel to Izakaya found in Japan. It combines the flavors of traditional Japanese cuisine with the dynamic trends of LA food culture. A Family Tradition for Over 90 YearsMrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant first opened in 1934 with Mrs. Knott and her children serving the first customers in their tearoom. The restaurant has grown over the years into one of the largest in California, but the classic fried chicken dinner is still made the same way today using Mrs. Knott's recipes.
