Alder & Oak is a wood-fired Aegean and Mediterranean restaurant in Jacksonville's Brooklyn neighborhood, inside HUB Brooklyn at 400 Riverside Avenue. Every dish is cooked without seed oils — only Iliada extra virgin olive oil from Kalamata, Greece, and grass-fed beef tallow. The kitchen runs a Mibrasa coal-fired grill and Earthstone wood-fired oven: whole grilled fish, Galician octopus, meze, coal-fired steaks, and 24-hour cold-fermented pizza. Covered courtyard dining with Jacksonville skyline views. Zorbas rooftop bar upstairs — walk-in only, cocktails and Aegean small plates, open late Friday and Saturday.
