We made reservation for 12 on Thursday night and it was great! The food was a little salty but we liked it, oh the chicken tortilla soup!!! That was delicious we ordered pasta Diablo (spicy) and I liked it!, mango chicken for my husband and other friends and they said it was very good specially the mushed potatoes, fish tacos were absolutely great and I loved the margarita too , they had a group playing live music and that's a great plus but the group need to improve a little bit . The patio!! Oh gosh the patio it's everything. We had a blast. Ok. Nosotros hicimos reservación para 12 el jueves en la noche y nos fue muy bien! Comenzando debo decir que el lugar es sencillamente hermoso, el patio es espectacular, muy amplio y el ambiente nos encanto. La comida es buena, un poco salada pero deliciosa; pedimos variedad de platos y prácticamente todos quedaron satisfechos con sus elecciones, a mí me gustó mi pasta diablo aunque es un poco muy picante para mí paladar y a mi esposo le pareció delicioso el mango Chicken, especialmente el puré de papa con que lo acompañó, los tacos de pescado también tuvieron éxito y las hamburguesas. En general es un buen lugar y la música en vivo es un plus aunque nos parece que el grupo puede mejorar mucho. Hubo momentos en que su música se tornaba en un ruido sin mucho ritmo o armonía. Lo recomiendo, tanto al lugar como a nuestra mesera Feli que fue muy amable. Mejorando ciertos aspectos creo que tiene la madera para ser uno de los mejores restaurantes de Katy. Muy buen comienzo. La sopa de tortilla!!!! Casi olvido decirles que la sopa de tortilla es una verdadera exquisitez!! Ahora sí ya!.

The Mother’s Day buffet was very disappointing. Food selection was limited, service was slow, and the 20 percent mandatory tip was ridiculous.

Went for Mother’s Day brunch. The service was extremely slow, we had to grab a pitcher of water ourselves so we could refill our own drinks. The food was cold, and the bbq was dry.

I live in Firethorne and have been to Agave many times. This time the TexMex experience was poor. I had a party of 6, we sat inside. Music was too loud. I asked the waiter to turn it down. 15 minutes later it was just as loud. The waiter skipped one person’s drink order. Two in my party ordered chicken tortilla soup. It was chili, not soup. I ordered tamales. Everyone else was served and I was told my order would be right out. 15 more minutes and I was informed that the chef was not cooking tamales tonight. I was offered another entree on the house. At that point I settled for something quick and a to go box in order to not hold up the rest of my party. If the chef is not serving tamales the wait staff should know it at the start of dinner service and certainly not tell me twice “It’s coming right out “. DISAPPOINTED

Mixed Review. Interesting ambiance, good food, average drinks, poor service. Advised upon arrival for our Wednesday reservation, that the outdoor "Adult Patio" was Closed on Wednesdays. Following service was poor. Wine glasses were dirty and had a bad odor. After the waiter disappeared, the owner attempted to remedy the situation, by replacing the glasses with more of the same, while explaining that they had been contaminated during recent renovations. Attitude and effort was right - solution was not. Full price with no effort of a partial "comp" for the problems.

Here's the one star review from tonight: This was our time in and we made a reservation using Open Table. We didn't have to wait long for the table, which is why this review has one star. We were ultimately underwhelmed by the staff and the accuracy of the kitchen. We had several servers helping with our table for two and only one of the four came across as polished and trained on soft skills. My husband enjoyed the poblano cream soup, but vegetarians beware: there are delicious slices of pork in the soup and they aren't listed on the menu. After waiting an hour for our main entrees to arrive, my order (chicken fajitas for one) was brought out correctly. The fajitas were a generous portion and leave plenty of leftovers for the next few days. My husband's order was full of errors not once but twice because of mistakes in the kitchen. The food didn't leave us with a desire to go through the trouble of packing it for lunches over the next few days, so we found a group of hungry people and donated our dinner to them. We are fun folks who enjoy adventure, but this evening did not meet our expectations. We were told by the awesome waiter we had (for real, he was working so hard!) that the computer crashed and they were overwhelmed by tickets. That explains the kitchen faux pax, but doesn't account for the staff. We are not in a hurry to return here for a date. Perhaps this location is better as a large catered event destination.

We had a very nice time. We sat inside as the weather had turned a bit chilly. We sat at a table right under a speaker in the back by the fireplace. It was quite loud, but was turned off when live music began, which was very nice. The margaritas were great and the food was very good. My husband ordered a combo plate and he was disappointed with his enchilada. It had a little bit of melted cheese on it, but no sauce at all. He had requested chopped onion on his enchilada and that did not happen. He didn't send it back, but didn't eat it either, he said it was too dry. My tacos al carbon were perfect as well as my son's fajitas. Not sure I'll be able to talk my husband into going back, but I would. Water glasses were refilled often. I think our waiter was new, Juan if I remember right, but he was very good.
