An advocate of farm to table, Black Tree Brooklyn serves the locals with an interesting assortment of sandwiches, vibrant salads and craft cocktails. Graffiti and colorful artwork welcome the patrons in a rustic ambience with fluorescent accents lighting the dining area. The waiting staff and the bartenders are courteous and inviting, making sure the customers at Black Tree Brooklyn are facilitated with a quick and non-intrusive service. Burrata, artichoke dip and salads are served as starters while mushroom sandwich, summer duck sandwich, water melon sandwich, short rib sandwich and the pig sandwich being the main platter highlights. Handful sandwiches at Black Tree Brooklyn can be complimented with homemade condiments and uniformly diced vegetables.

Innovative brunch creations and most importantly wonderfully attentive above and beyond service by the staff, including insisting on opening the patio doors in a different of the restaurant for us , requiring moving of several tables, simply because we had mentioned the nice weather outside.

There were 5 of us. The service was great, although they were not busy at the time. We all shared, and everyone loved every dish. I would come back again!

We were a group of 4 on a quiet Tuesday night. The service was spot on: friendly and attentive. The appetizers were reasonably priced and delicious. The burrata was incredible. Mains were perfectly sized. I will definitely be going back. The only downside was that it was a bit hot and stuffy by the back of the restaurant because the kitchen is only partially screened off from the dining area.

Was going to be late, called ahead. When we arrived 20 minutes late (as forewarned) we had to wait another 15 minutes for a table. Not a big deal, we came from far away and had time to kill before our concert. The owner, however, was very apologetic and came out to great us. we were blown away by this gesture as it set the tone of our dining experience. He then continued to ensure that we had the best time possible. the waitstaff picked up on how much fun we were having and they joined in too. It did not seem like we were out at the gourmet restaurant that blacktree is, but instead, it felt like we were out at a friends place for a good time with food and drinks. the food was spectacular, i really enjoyed their weekly celebration of local ingredients. we went during duck week but i will come back definitely to try some local treats when they are celebrating some other ingredients. the drink list was great, this is the spot to do old fashions and picklebacks as they have an array of rotating bitters. everything was perfect 10/10
