We do not take bookings for larger than 6 people. The largest party on regular seating is 4 people.

Please note all tables of 6 or more will be required to eat off our Chefs Sharing Menu.

Mediterranean small plates, fresh pasta and quality cuts of meat where sharing is encouraged. The menu is concise and constantly changing.

Sehr leckeres Essen und freundlicher Service. Das Chef Menu ist sehr zu empfehlen und im oberen Preissegment. Der Käsekuchen und das Tiramisu sind sehr lecker und haben eine relativ große Portionsgröße. Es ist sehr belebt und laut im Restaurant. Die Hochstühle fanden wir etwas unbequem.

I hadn’t been to Host for a number of years and was delighted to get a booking at short notice- something of a rarity. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Service was great and the food delicious. It was a first time for two of our party of four and they were very impressed. We will be back when we are lucky enough to secure a booking!!

Absolutely incredible restaurant. We got the chefs menu and everything was 10/10. The sharing plates with focaccia, salami, tomato and crab was a great starter. After this there was a pasta dish with ragu, walnut sage and pumpkin which surprised us both but was delicious. Main was a sharing steak with sides, that was the nicest steak I’ve ever had. Followed by a tiramisu which again was 10/10. Couldn’t recommend this place enough, the best restaurant in Dublin.

Went to Host in Ranelagh last night to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday, and honestly the best meal we’ve had in Dublin. Our server was brilliant from start to finish! He was so attentive, and gave us great recommendations all the way through the menu. The pacing was spot on too, nothing ever felt rushed or like we were waiting around. The arancini is to die for, and the ragu was packed with flavour. We had the lamb, which was a really generous portion, and the salsa verde with it was beautiful. On our server’s recommendation we added fried potatoes and cabbage on the side, which paired perfectly with the lamb. I’d noted in the booking that it was his birthday, but he was watching me like a hawk all night so I never got the chance to give anyone a heads up in person… didn’t matter, they brought out a birthday dessert anyway and he was delighted. Can’t recommend Host enough, we’ll be telling all our friends and family to go. Thank you!
