Ok so I went there for Valentine's day. They did have a Rose and Champagne for my wife and I. That's a plus. Ambience and scenery is amazing. We waited for 15 min to be seated without any recognition of being there. This is with reservations. Sst down and waited 15 more min to get asked if we wanted something to drink. Keeping my gorgeous wife waiting on Valentines day is a spit in the face and extremely disappointing. We had the Samon and the New York Strip. Both were horrifyingly terrible. The taste if the Samon was undercooked and slimy. The New york strip was actually a Sirloin and extreme thin and dry with no seasoning and taste. I could have cooked both way better and I am no cook. Eating here.....no....dont do it. $75 per person per plate. Terrible but would stay at ths hotel cause it is nice. The restaurant clearly needs some guidance for cooking is not their forte. They need to stop and rethink exactly what they are trying to do. You should leave full and happy with the taste of your food. School cafeterias have better food.....lubys has better food...I'd say Long John Silvers has better tasting fish.

Came here for Valentine's Day dinner. 1st course was ok, nothing great. Drink was not very good for the price ($19!!). Entree took an hour to show up and we had to ask for it. My wife didn't get the dish she ordered,but we didn't want to wait anymore and ate it anyways. Steaks were tasteless with no seasoning. Dessert was ok, but again nothing special. Overall hugely disappointed. Nice ambiance, but terrible service, prices way out of whack for quality, and overall experience can't recommend to anyone.

The restaurant part of the extended lobby is used for brunch and lunch. For dinner, one has to eat at the bar, which shares the menu with both parts. The bar Iadies were friendly and amenable to make corrections--the sweet potato fries were inedible. I did enjoy the lunch salad which allowed for selecting the ingredients which were then put together in the kitchen.

It would be great if they had a really creative chef and real restaurant service. Looks like the focus is the hotel, not the restaurant. You could be one of the best restaurants in houston (and attract attention to your hotel). The location is the best. Beautiful. It was the reason we went. The resultant food, disappointing.

The service was nice and the wine was great. The menu however was extremely limited (only had the choice of ordering from the Valentine’s special menu) and only one price available ($75 per person). Also, my husband had 2 bar drinks, that were also overpriced ($17 each). I enjoyed the meal but wouldn’t go back.

We had a party of 4, it was our annual pre-theater dinner. We waited over ten minutes to be greeted even having reservations. The restaurant was not busy the staff that was working was polite however the food was sub par. The appetizer was burnt. My steak was under cook and cold. My daughter's fish was fishy. My wife was upset. We got all dressed up for a nice dinner and definitely it was not. We were so disappointed.

While we loved the ambiance of the building, the wait staff was extremely slow. I believe it was because the bar was backed up, however, we were seated behind a large wall that blocked us from view... I think we were easy to forget. The food was okay, but given the price one would expect it to be really good. Cocktails were good, but I have had many tastier drinks elsewhere for the $15 sticker price.
