I keep giving this place a chance and probably will go again, but the food has seriously slipped in quality. I love their backyard, and their cocktails are good. I've been for brunch and dinner on several occasions and have witnessed (tasted) the decline. I hope their food gets better.

Atmosphere and thanks good , menu bad needs work and asa Texan the burrito and tacos sub par but guacamole good .. good for drinks and outdoor area and live music but don’t expect to get great food . Also the service was very very slow and not busy when we went

First I'll start with the food. Our guacamole was okay, and the chips that came with it were clearly the cheap chips you get at a ball park to dip in your melted cheese, so we were disappointed. $10 for guacamole and that's the best you got? Come on now. Also, we ordered it spicy, and, like our spicy margaritas, there was absolutely no hint of spice whatsoever. Our food came (Duck tacos, they were out of lamb, and quesadilla) and both were quite good. However, there was no salsa to be found with the guac or with the food. Maybe I just had wrong expectations for Mexican food? What saved this was the ambiance and our server. She was incredible and I would go back gladly just to sit in her section again. Also, there was live music and we had a perfect cozy little table. Lastly, we tried the mixed pepper margarita and finally got something spicy in our lives! She and the ambiance totally turned our experience around and I would definitely give it a shot again for her. If only I could remember her name!

I had made a reservation for 6 people for a later lunch at 2:00 pm on a Friday. They called me the day before to confirm so I thought we were all set. When we showed up to the restaurant it was completely empty, and dark except for one confused looking man by the bar. (mind you I have been here several times before and had never experienced a welcoming like this) I mentioned my reservation and he said sit wherever. We were then given brunch/lunch menus and made drink choices. The same man that sat us came back and said he gave us the wrong menus so he swapped them for dinner menus where, of course, everything was more expensive (Margaritas were $10 instead of $8 etc). Three of us ordered cocktails and he said "none of those are available" only margaritas, and some wine and beers. After we ordered margaritas, it took him 15/20 minutes to make margaritas from a pre home made mix and bring back one bottled beer. We then attempted to order lunch, where we were met with a large laundry list of meals and items that weren't available. Also the fryer was "broken" so anything involving that was out of the question too. The menu was cut by more than half. After running through several options, and being told no, we were able to order. The food, for literally the only table in the place, took 40+ minutes to come out and was sub par, which was disappointing because in the past it has been GREAT. The cherry on top was that after all was said and done, we asked for the check (which took another 20 mins to come out) AND THEN he told us "Sorry cash only." Which has NEVER been the case here in the past. Lastly, throughout the meal, a dank nasty odor kept creeping in and out of the dining area. None of us finished our dishes Needless to say I will not be back to Santos Anne. Next time they see they only have one reservation on a rather slow day, I would suggest they cancel it, so they don't lose a returning customers business forever.
